Bronco falls into a niche segment of the market. Production is out pacing demand.
Like others have mentioned, used Bronco’s are also plentiful. The novelty is fading and prices will follow. Supply and demand 101.
Agreed 100%. We can also attribute this to potential unknown demand. The same has happened with electronics. I work in IT. When there weren't any chips available, it was difficult for manufacturers to gage what the actual demand was because they had no recent sales numbers to base production on. They knew there was an increased demand, but didn't know by how much. Fearing underproduction and not knowing if they'd be able to get chips consistently, many machines were overproduced. The Bronco was certainly not over produced on the same scale as chromebooks/PCs, but similar idea.

Not over produced is an understatement.Ford lost as many customers as they sold Broncos.

Reading the posts on dealerships, it was apparent that I've experienced many of the issues at different times. However, my experience with my Bronco purchase was much better than some. I bought a brand-new Ford Ranger on Dec.31st 2019. My local dealer gave me a great deal and even paid off the lease on my truck which no one else would do. Unfortunate for me was Fords announcement that they would be returning the Bronco to their lineup. This led to a long wait for the opportunity to purchase a Bronco. I paid the truck off in April and started my search. In my area it was like a blackout for Broncos especially two door models. It seemed like there was some sort of logjam. This seemed to lift in December. the local dealership received 8 Broncos with 3 being 2door models. Unfortunately, they did not have the options I wanted so we couldn't make a deal even though the one they offered was very good. However, I found one an hour away that had the options I wanted and some I hadn't thought of. As a bonus it was in the very desirable color, Hot Pepper Red. This dealership was a bit rough to deal with. The Bronco was in "Transit" but they wanted to see my truck. They made a good offer and promised to take an amount off the Bronco price. I waited through 3 deadlines but finally the call came that the Bronco was in. My wife and I went up to see it and the dealing began. The dealership conveniently forgot the deal they proposed and offered me less for the truck and more for the Bronco. After pointing out that this offer was below what they promised, I countered with wanting more for my truck and more off the Bronco. You can probably guess what happened next, they balked, and we got up to leave. (I had the title to my truck with me and told them I was leaving with it). This caused them concern; I think they were smug in thinking it was a done deal and they didn't have to worry. At the beginning of this I asked about the X- plan and they stated it wasn't available. They came back with a better deal, (1000 more on my truck 300 more off the Bronco), and we made the deal. This was Jan.11th. If the date doesn't ring any bells look up the X-plan program. The Bronco was named to the program on Jan.10th I believe. I called the dealership, and they are refunding the difference to me, (672.00). This makes the deal so much sweeter! Working with dealerships is a tricky proposition so if you find one that works for you always try to deal with them but don't be afraid to walk away even if it means to a new dealership. Leverage is your best friend and knowledge is your best weapon. By the way, where did I find out about the x-plan inclusion? Right here on this site!

Took my daughter to the local Ford dealership yesterday to have her Escape serviced. There were about 10 Broncos on the lot, including at least one Raptor.

Its hard to sell Raptors when they want $150k and a first born.

Supply and demand 101 dictates you lower prices when there's more supply not raise them plus combined with bidenflation interest rates pushes the consumer out of the market. Buyers don't mind overpaying when they're making the choice to but when they're forced to overpay they retreat , plus food and utilities take precedence over niche vehicles.
