After looking at the photos of the Everglade version of the Bronco I noticed that there is no front camera in the grill. Did Ford relocate or just remove it? I know people that have attached a winch after market complain that it blocks the forward camera and are looking to relocate it. Just curious if Ford moved it or removed it?

Yeah, I have an OB with Warn kit, and the front trail cam is like 50% blocked. But I also have the Lux, and now need to take the winch off, the bumper off, and bought a bracket to relocate the adaptive cruise control sensor.

Nope, it doesn't have one on the pics. The camera only comes on the higher packages. AM's have relocation kits

So I wonder what Ford does if you have the Lux package? Can’t really have 360° cameras without it….

The Everglades comes with the Mid package. It's basically a Black Diamond with the Mid package and a few bits and pieces from the higher trim levels (like Signature Lighting and the 12" screen) thrown in. I'd personally describe it as in-between the Black Diamond and Badlands trim.

Front cameras aren't included until you get to the High package, but you can still get the winch with the High package (it does block the front camera). You cannot, however, get the winch with the Lux package.

What I have heard is that if you get the LUX package, not only does the winch block the front camera, it also interferes with the adaptive cruise control sensor. There are after-market solutions starting to come out that all you to relocate that sensor. You can also move the control box off the top of some models of the winch, and it will block the front camera LESS.

With regard to the JCR Offroad front camera relocation kit , they have not accessed whether it will package with the Ford/Warn winch plate. It would seem a 5-minute task.

Yeah, looks simple enough!

Problem is that the tube that comes with the Ford kit, is designed to help protect the winch. In your provided picture, that kit's tube goes over the winch.

Just a note on the relocation kits… moving the camera/ACC sensor throw the calibration off on those systems.

For ACC it usually makes it so it behaves goofy in stop-and-go traffic. And for the front camera it’ll throw off the alignment on the overhead 360-degree camera

Not a big deal in my opinion. I don’t even think the Bronco has the stop-and-go ACC feature. And the overhead 360-camera is a cool party trick, but its actual day-to-day usefulness is basically nonexistent. But worth bringing it up in case you care about that stuff.

I use my mirrors..... ok so my current ride doesn't have a camera lol. I don't back into the garage but I do have to be careful not to hit the motorcycle parked in front of my car. I use the side mirrors to make sure I'm positioned far enough over so hubby has enough room to open the driver door on his truck.

Haha… me too!! Picked it up from my father who used the ol’ tennis-ball-ona’-string to park his 1989 Bronco. Always thought it was a unique trick he came up with but maybe not as unique as I had always thought.

Although @JoergH brought up a good use case that I’ve never thought of. You could probably still use the 360 cameras. Just have to be aware that the computer won’t be able to “stitch together” the various camera views properly.

Ford at its best.

Ford placed the front camera where it would work best 90% of the time . Whenever someone adds an accessory they may diminish other features . There's nothing new about that . If you add the roof rack it will partially block the removeable hard top front panels . If you change wheels/tires your new bigger spare will block more of the rear view etc .

I tried to order the JCR, they said 6-12 weeks out even though it says in stock on their website.
My issue and this is not a new issue as I had a 1973 bronco between 2008 and 2016, is that the camera relocation bracket for ALL OTHER vehicles is between $29-69 bucks from companies like ARB (who are not cheap) but the bracket for a bronco is 5x more expensive. Due to the common issue and the newness of the issue, I am going to wait for a lower-priced option. In the meantime, I relocated my control box to under the hood on my Xo2 Smity 10k so it blocks less of the camera.

Yeah, and I never understood that. Why make it available with the high package and not the LUX? I would think that if the reason it's not available with the LUX is that it blocks the front camera then it wouldn't be available with the high.

I think it is the adaptive cruise sensors it blocks, and not necessarily the camera.

I have the same winch. Any issues with the control box re-location ? It'll definitely look cleaner without that hump on top of it.

I'm also planning on stripping all stickers from the winch I can. Not a fan of extra badges or stickers on anything.
