My camera recall was done over night by download. No dealer visit needed

Yeah I was just looking on the app as people have mentioned and mine is complete as well.

Yes I found this out yesterday. They have ordered the wiring harness for replacement.

The whole wiring harness??? or even a piece of it??? I thought they were just going to sheath a vulnerable section.

As far as I know it is a whole wiring harness. All I know is the parts are in and I am getting it done on Monday. I will let you know. Perhaps the parts are to fix the current wiring harness. I will find out Monday.

Called my local dealer (who is absolutely terrible BTW) and they said the recall is not available yet.. Not surprised one bit...

Even if it were available, I am sure they'd tell me my warranty is void and the recall is not covered.. LOL..

How complicated can a fix be?Not that anyone should be concerned about their Bronco burning to the ground + maybe starting another Wild Land Fire.

Well considering you have not burned up yet... Like most of us...(there have been a couple I have seen where everyone was pointing at accessories).... But I think the chances of you burning up before the recall are actually pretty small. Maybe just slightly better than winning the multimillion dollar lottery. In which case I would assume you have good grounds for a law suit. BUT if... as rumored... they may actually be replacing a part of the wiring harness, someone has to manufacture an extra 1/2 million or so of that wiring section.... Not sure how long that would take while keeping up with the prescheduled production they were already manufacturing for anticipated production runs....

Not sure I want them rushing my new wiring harness, even if it is a small section of it. I would prefer they take their time and get it right. My chances of fire starting are pretty slim. I am willing to wait.

Now if they were just putting sheathing on a section of wiring.... Every dealer should already have some, cut to fit and install. I would not think there would be any parts to wait for. Just thinking out loud.

The recall for the Raptor is three wiring looms, a clip and some high temperature tape. They couldn't do my recall because they needed to order the under the hood tape.

For the Raptor it seems there are three sets of wires coming together as he explained it. They put the looms over the wiring and clip it (to secure movement) and use the high temperature tape as well.

There is also extra time in the recall in case the wiring need servicing. It seems mine doesn't. They just need the tape to do the job.

Should be a few days.

Yeah, no high temp loom tape is weird. Heck, I have couple rolls in the garage now. It comes in very handy both under hood or as tool grip tape.

Any idea where/what wiring harness they’re working on this?
