Dying to Upgrade tires to 35's on Badlands non-sas

I LOVE my Bronco, but I've gotta say honestly I'm already regretting some of my build choices.

1. I regret compromising on the top for quick delivery from the MIC. I plan to order one as SOON as they're available to purchase from Ford
2. I regret compromising on the tow package which I've already ordered.
3. I am MOST regretful for not ordering the Sasquatch package know I'd be wanting to take my bronco out on the trails because it was only a few thousand more than I paid for my Badlands

My questions:

Am I causing any long term damage to my vehicle by just lifting and adding 35's to it, to go out on the trails.
Do I need to consider a making changes to my transmission to take it off road (and just drive it on the road for that matter)

I did the Off-Roadeo in Texas, and I don't recall seeing 33's on ANY of those vehicles.

HELP!

I regret not getting the AUX switches for sure. Hoping @Ford Motor Company will make an upgrade kit ASAP. But to answer your questions.

you can still do an ass-ton of wheeling w/o 35s. The dirty secret to wheeling is this:

all you need is ground clearance. A locking rear diff helps too but that's just a cherry on top. Everything else is just dick measuring.

don't chase stats. enjoy your Bronco. The DANA 44 is a tried and true axle. Unless you are hauling a trailer full of bowling balls up Machu Pichu you're going to be just fine. No one is blowing up diffs on the trails, things that break are 90% tires, control arms and suspension.

You are perfectly equipped for off road use, but you will spend a bit more time scraping the bash plates and on the rear shock mounts than if you had the SAS equipped badlands. The 33s are fine, bit less traction, tend to slide out more on dusty or wet obstacles.
Unfortunately, the badland rims have a 55 off set, that if you just jump to 35s you will rub against the upper control arm. You will have to remove the crash bars too. You will have need to lift your badlands some for off road use to properly clear 35s, and may even have to use spacer if keeping the original rims or choose a rim with less positive offset.
You can obviously get a wider rim too at this point, so your 35s are not pinched and turned into donuts.

Welp...

it just got real. I'm buying a set of FE wheels and tires.

Now... to make 'em fit right is my new conundrum. I've gotta figure how much lift I need for them to work.

T&C just put 'em on and did a parking lot stroll, but I haven't seen any video about actual performance. Did I miss something?

Aren't the 35" tires 315 and the 33" 285? Thats the width in millimeters, so wider 35s.
I prefer the wider width on a 33 ie 315 on a 33

Oh, I misunderstood then. I thought you were talking about stock Bronco tires. I get it. I'd rather have a 285mm 35" tire, but can see why someone might want a 315mm 33" tire too.

So regarding a lift, does the 4dr Bronco get delivered with a rake? (Maybe 1" higher in the back?) The reason I ask is I was under the impression the Bronco had a 1" rake, so I was planning on putting a 1" inch level on the front and then change to 35's (35x12.50R18). That way I don't have to buy wheels too.

It’s a deal of pay now or pay later. Would you rather have a factory warranty or save a few bucks . Good luck with your choice.

So lets say for arguments sake, I just purchased a wheel and tire set off a First Edition (oopsies), and wanted to mount them on my Badlands. Since they have the same offset as a Sasquatch, could I get away with adding Sas fenders and perform adequately off road?

Has anyone else tried this already?

probably not with any articulation, but you can remove the crash bars so they don't rub that way. But 1st ED has SAS

wait... you mean I'll lose some articulation, right? 'cause I kind of expected to I'd lose a a bit (BUT NOT ALL!) going to 35's.

So a SAS is adding roughly 1" lift (give or take) and then you are adding about 2" from the 33-35 tires. I'd say if I wanted to drive on a Nebraska dirt road and called that off-road, you'd probably be fine, now if I was in Colorado and truly off-roading then you'd probably have issues

But as a Badlands, I've kinda got some of that baked in already (right?). I thought I had (roughly) the same lift/suspension as the Sas...

Nope, SAS is a completely different suspension setup

So we've both got Bilstein/HOSS , but the amount of lift is different (?).

I'm outa my element here, so forgive me if I'm asking a stupid question (I try never to repeat the stupid ones).

Just make sure you remove the crash bars.
