The Bronco does not have frames around the window. I have read that, like the Jeep, the frames help the door seal better, and more durable. With this said I have a couple of questions.

1. Is this true?
2. Why did Ford use a non framed window?
3. Has any of the MIC leaks been around the window and not the top?

Thanks,
Dave

1. Is this true? YES
2. Why did Ford use a non framed window? LIGHTER, EASIER TO REMOVE, STORES INSIDE VEHICLE
3. Has any of the MIC leaks been around the window and not the top? ALl REMOVABLE TOPS WILL LEAK - SOME MORE THAN OTHERS (not limited to Broncos) BUT LILELY NOT AROUND THE WINDOWS

Thanks,
Dave

I've had my JK for 13 years. No leaks or runs in car wash or any other environment. So I don't buy the the answer to #3. Thanks for responding though. I appreciate it.

That's a terrible idea, when do we start?

I think that this was mainly so that when you remove the doors they are a smaller package and can be easily stored in the back of your Bronco, for example. This isn't unique to the Bronco. I had a Mustang convertible that had frameless doors, and never had a leak or a problem. What's key is to make sure that the feature that pulls your window down slightly when you open your door, and back up when you close it is working/adjusted properly.
