Did my dealership totally SCREW me??

I’ve had an order for a Big Bend since April 2021. It is a 4-door, mid-package 222A, a hard top and a tow package.

A few months ago I told my dealership I would be fine removing the hard top and/or tow package if that meant I could get my car sooner.

I tried following up with him a few weeks ago and he finally called me back on Friday and told me my order was cancelled by Ford.

Now my order will be going from a MY21 to a MY22 to a MY23 and now a MY24 that’s going to be over $5000 more expensive and who knows when I will even get it (if I ever get it).

Did my dealership totally screw up? Did they put my priority code super low? Do they not want me to buy this car for some reason?

Have most dealerships been updating their order holders? Because I have been the one contacting them to get updates over the years, they’re never the ones to reach out to me.

I tried calling Ford directly and they said they can’t even help me until I have a VIN.

I am so confused. I’ve cried multiple times and I’m so frustrated. Is there anything I can do? Is this car even worth it?

They could be misinformed, have you asked a sales manager to check? I love my Bronco but whether it's money or aggrevation something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it and that is different for everyone. Personally I lucked into an abandoned order that matched most of my wants including all deal breakers and the dealership wasn't greedy. This was after giving up on wait times and dealer markups. A year in and I couldn't be happier. (Well I wish the 2 door had Better storage but that's a 1st world problem)

Contact Ford and find out why it was cancelled. If your order was priority 99 and was not upgraded to priority 10-19 Ford would have cancelled it. Negligence by the dealer in that case. You won't know unless you have more information...

Dealer screwed up. Your build was not constrained enough to never be built. A big bend, 4-door, with soft top should be easy to find on a dealer's lot. Just buy new off the lot.

You can't buy off the lot, they don't have what you want. just 60k mall crawlers.

LOL. Out of curiosity, I checked this morning. Auto Trader has 11 pages (273 results in a nationwide search) of Big Bends w/ 4-door automatic. The several I looked at are at or near MSRP; mid $40Ks to upper $50K. Several MICs in the mix.

A Big Bend with mid package is a Mall Crawler. LOL. They are all Mall Crawlers...

OP can do his/her own homework and negotiate.
I'd bet when you call those are not MSRP at all. The dealers here list all the time at MSRP but when you call it's a different story.

I'd also put good money on the OPs dealer sold it out from under her for a big ADM being it was a hardtop with Tow PKG.

Like @PSUTE mentioned, @wildheart, Ford did cancel orders dealers did not COVP and move out of 99. Ford FAQs on this.

A big however: I've been following a thread on 6G where someone had their order canceled, and dealer said they didn't do it and it was an error in the system. Check this out in case it helps you! I hope you get a good resolution.

It might be time to start looking for your Bronco on a dealer lot. You build sounds like something a dealership might have less hard top and towing. But if you are willing to give up the hard top anyway, and you can add the towing pretty easy. Good luck I hope you can find your perfect Bronco it really is a special vehicle.
