After several calls to Ford Pass it was discovered that when battery get low ,9.5-11 v the power module will disconnect certain electronic module like modem. Took several calls.
Started after oil change, then Ford Pass wanted updated version, then tried to remote lock NADA!
This morning started and connectivity was on. However after short idle, on stop ending a message came up on touchscreen about power module is shutting down certain module like modem.
Ford Pass showed 2/23/23 10:30 Am off on 3/3/23 6:57Am back on, the off after stop engine.
Voltage of battery, per Ford Pass, was 12 v @6:57 Am.
If you dont run Bronco , it will discharged , due to electrical devices like modem.
A service bulletin has been posted and says will be part of June over air software update, but dont know how it affects modem discharging battery, due to storage. But power module appears to work well!
Why does the FordPass®*App say my vehicle is in Deep Sleep Mode when it isn't?
We are aware that some Members might see a banner message in the app advising your vehicle is in Deep Sleep Mode when using the FordPass App, even though it does not meet traditional deep sleep conditions. Your remote commands are inoperable when this happens.
Performing a key cycle (turning the vehicle on and then back off again) will restore the functionality of the remote commands; however, the symptom may recur when attempting to use them again.
"Our engineering team is working on a fix for this issue that will be released via a future Software Update."
Please make sure you have the latest version of the FordPass App and where applicable, you have Software Updates enabled so that you get notified when the fix is available.

Finally Ford Pass they get voltage telematrics. Supervisor says was 12.015 Volts. No where a low battery condition. When driven yesterday dash says 15 v charging. May be bad glass mat battery $300 or defective alternator, or battery power module of just crappy software like stated above.
Porsche in garage always on trickle charges. Range Rover never, but Jag XF had low battery module on battery terminal ,but never worked.
Bottom line back to dealer for actual battery load test and documented voltage. Also found the start stop has been disenabled. Great one PIA😆😆😆😆

On the Rangers when the A.S.S. stops working it is usually the first clue the battery is going south :(

What is not coming from the house's mouth is Ford gets paid by certain insurance comp-
anies YOUR DRIVING DATA. DATE TIME IN OPERATION MILEAGE 'etc. Besides GPS. Traffic sign data recognition. DATA which tell your auto insurance carrier number of times you exceeded posted speed limits, it can calculate based on cell phone (ATT) network tower identification, together with GPS location how well your driving is.
Have your auto insurance premiums gone up? Forget FBI can fine you Bronco in seconds with your plate, vin, etc. Big Brother and the slimy insurance companies are watching, the know how fast you drive, where you come and go and all this data transfer is prewired by the factory. You have to pay for dead batteries after 36 months.😣😣😣

As a CPA, who prepared SEC Form 10K you will see Ford has set up separate line of business in its segment business required reporting. They charge others for data collection compliments from your, if equip embedded model. No wonder my Bronco's battery is going in deep sleep mode. It is being drained by GPS, Ford Pass data collection. Ford Pass they have an actual battery voltage readings, but dont tell you in its monthly health reports.
If there is no laws, business will sell your data. Read FORD's Privacy ten pages, their attorneys drafted.
FORD PASS and embedded modem is Anti- American, they just want to make a buck on how , where, and when you drive and if you obey the traffic laws. Next you will get a speeding ticket via Ford Pass and if you dont pay $300 fine, like Zerox's Red Camera tickets, they will drain your battery so it will not start your Bronco.

Common sense says FMC is in business to make a profit on any legal activity. But we bought the pony, that grew up into a Bronco, and that internal embedded modem is our personal property and can be disconnected "at will" , but is discharging our expensive glass mat batteries, while FMC get paid for the data it sells to third parties. That is why your auto insurance discounts are offered.
When your premiums go up blame Ford Pass, a ",wolf in sheep clothing". Next will come blue lights when you go beyond the speed limit.
Maybe use the my key to limit to 65 mph.

I quit worrying about this ever since Alexa started listening in on my conversations with my wife and sending me advertisements based on said conversations…. The hills have ears, unless you want to unplug and move deep into the mountains, you might as well get used to it…

The above vegetables lovers all are getting their daily vitamins, but my Bronco battery is getting weaker day by day if I dont use more energy like trickle chargers. Not so with my Range Rover Sport cheap Interstate. Aren,'t trying to reduce our energy dependance?
