I don’t know if anyone can offer any advice. I reserved a 2022 Ford Bronco in 2020 directly from Ford. It was converted to an order and was built. I was given the VIN number and window sheet directly from ford. The dealership receiving the delivery of my Bronco started refusing the sale after I left a bad review for poor customer service and requested a new salesperson. I was told they would not do business with me and were canceling my order. I contacted Fords corp Customer service 3/18 and was told my bronco will be delivered on or around 3/21/22and that my reservation is still confirmed and was advised by the Ford representative to go to the dealership on this date to claim my bronco and involve the police if The dealership does not let me claim order. I was told by the Ford corp that vehicle was mine and would sold to me and I am protected by my preorder and They are denying me my the property I contracted through Ford. Please let me know if this is something I can get any suggestion on routes to take. I was told on 3/28/2022 the the bronco had been sold.

@JoeFury , that is awful.

Another option in addition to consulting with an attorney might be to contact one of your local news stations, especially if they do any consumer protection segments.

Sounds like you should have behaved.

Folks act powerful, and maybe you can get Ford involved to punish this dealer (which may be deserved)....but at the end of the day, you don't have a Bronco.

Didn’t see anyone bring up the $100 reservation fee as a binding contract between the payer and @Ford Motor Company. Does anyone know what that $100 was for? We were made to pay it in order to place our order. It was SUPPOSED to give us a place in line. I guess I’m just curious why no one has pursued a class action law suit yet. We weren’t advised of allotments or anything that they claim effected this supposed reservation process. We have all heard the horror stories of the people that have been waiting over 2 years. Just thinking out loud here.

Unfortunately, typically a deposit is not the same thing as a legally binding contract. Without something in writing stating that the deposit was for sale/ delivery of the vehicle, it would be hard to argue in court. Without a purchase or sale agreement, a deposit is YOU promising them YOU will buy the vehicle (deposit is showing your intent to purchase, not usually the other way around). It sounds like BS, and I don’t disagree, but it is what it is.

@JoeFury you're going to get a lot of sympathy here, but the short of it is.

@Ford Motor Company will tell you how "sorry" they are and STEALerships are 3rd party and not owned by Ford
People here will offer help, but very little they can (understandably) do

Hope you get your or a Bronco soon, as yours, mine and I assume other's years long wait has now been extended do to corporate negligence and dealership greed

My advice is keep your cool in all contacts with dealer as your conduct may be used against you. Your name is JoeFury after all (small attempt to lighten the mood). Surprised Ford told you to involve the police. Don't think most police agencies would arbitrate this matter. Seems like Ford needs to take a bigger role to help you. Best of luck to you.

I find it difficult to believe Ford Customer Service would say to contact the police, they won't jeopardize a relationship between a dealer and Ford--ever. Your only recourse at this point is with the dealer, and if the Bronco is already sold, you're either going to need to reorder or find a stock unit. The dealership cannot unwind a previous sale. I'm sorry to hear about your situation, but I have a feeling there's a lot more going on here than what's being told.

Precisely..
Person ordering found out real quick they waited over a year to see their Bronco get sold to a person that was willing to pay what the Bronco is worth with less hassle to the dealer.

I was happy that my dealership was a stand-up team and sold my Bronco to me at MSRP. I was surprised to find out that they could legally have done what this OP is experiencing. The vehicle is not actually yours until they decide to sell it to you. I'm sad to see this happen to people, but other than a potential PR nightmare, we have no leverage against a greedy dealership.

In the end the slimy dealership will say that at some point you stated that you did not want the Bronco or that after being dissatisfied with their service and leaving a negative review , you said you would never buy anything from them . It will be a he said , she said case and a waste of time .

I hate to say it but the quickest way to get a Bronco at this point would probably be to order another from a different dealer. The legal route could take a long time. If you go the legal route, I would still go order another just in case! Good luck.

The dealer's website says they do not add ADM and they also state that in their responses on their online reviews.

I'm still thinking there is more to this story..I doubt the dealer tried to mark-up. If it stems from a bad review of a salesperson, OP has not stated why he wanted a new salesperson and then left the bad review, was there an altercation at the dealership where OP was asked to leave? A private business can refuse service.

Not taking anyone's side..just saying--there are 2 sides to a story, we're only getting 1 from the OP.

Whatever decision you make regarding your next move, I would not contact the dealership directly at this point. It sounds like they are not willing to satisfy you anyway so it would be pointless.
