Hey there, I'm starting to research DIY ceramic coating to save a little coin, and I saw this product used in a popular YouTube video. I was thinking of trying it out, wanted to check with the community to see if any of you have personally tried it, have opinions on it, or have other brands that you stand behind. Any help would be appreciated. I tried to search the forum but I found no real info about the subject or products, save one other.
Thanks in advance (y)

Have you watched Pan the Organizer on YouTube. He has a ton of episodes on this exact subject, lots of great info. He is quite a self promoter but provides good info.

I've been a long-time fan of Matt Moreman when it comes to the subject of what's best for detailing autos. His knowledge & experience in the detailing world has vaulted his company, Obsessed Garage (and his podcast) into the top tier. Ceramic coatings? He's tried them all and come up with some solid recommendations. Review his recommendation here at https://www.obsessedgarage.com/blogs/og-knowledge-base/best-ceramic-coating-for-cars.

I just received the Adam’s UV Advanced Graphene Ceramic Coating Kit. I plan on putting it on when my bronco gets here in the next couple months. Want to protect the paint right off the bat.

I wouldn't let the dealer wash it then. I wasn't too happy when I arrived while they were cleaning mine. They were using brushes and who knows what kind of soaps to clean it. Not very caring for the proper process, the only area that I wasn't happy with my purchasing experience. I fear I'll have to do a little cleaning/correction before I apply my surface..

During transit I plan on having that conversation. I'm hoping they have a spray on soap capability. I'm sure there will still be some decon and minor paint correction needed.

I have Simonize Glass coat on mine, lifetime warranted, only issue, if you are trying to apply a bugshield/rock guard on hood or trying to put on sill plate guards you will need to have the area stripped of the Glass coat,, 3m auto sticky will not hold!!! :) (Also, Simonize Glass coat is featured on Modern Marvels episode, I am amazed at how slick the surface of my paint is now! plus being here in Nebraska Fall weather bugs super coat everything on an evening drive but come off easy with this product!)

I haven't heard of it, I'll have to look into it! Is it a ceramic base? Can you apply it yourself or is it a service based product? Thanks!

Can be purchased online and self-applied but must be applied at right temp, it is a service-based product through dealerships of Ford who carry it, Mine was done at Anderson Ford in Lincoln Ne. Also it is guaranteed to outlast and be harder than ceramic coat

Here’s a question- when can you start ceramic coat or wax on a new Bronco? I remember it was advised in the past to wait a month to let the paint “cure”- is that still a thing? I just got my Bronco last week

I also used Adams graphene coating back in June, the UV light thing is kind of a joke, but I have to say the stuff works. The beading of water is amazing and on doors and fenders it just bounces off. in the month of August I did not have to wash once, the rain would wash all grass and pollen right off. I have enough left for a second coat for hood and top that I will do in the spring. Time will tell if it last 7 years!!

My understanding is, the paint comes fully cured from the factory. I believe that the month thing is if you've had body work done or a repaint.
