I recently purchased back in March.2021 bronco sport outer Banks with 130 miles on it. The first night we have it .my wife and I decided to drive down to the shore. On the way down all you could hear was a rattling noise. At first I thought it was something loose underneath . Two weeks later was able to finally get it into the dealership to look it over. Come to find out the rattling was a bad transmission.Has anybody else have or heard of other owners with the bronco sport having transmission problems. Thanks. And it’s been at the dealership now for three weeks My bad Outer Banks

What the heck is a Bronco Sport Outlander?
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

Mechanical stuff breaks and sorry to hear about your woes - I am sure it is frustrating. Good news is that it will be covered under warranty and you will be back on the trail soon… (y)

Hi FMC, other than the oil leak recall on the 1.5 motors, are you aware of anything else involving the Sports?

good morning just an update on my bronco sport. It is still in the shop and we’re starting on our fifth week. They say they’re waiting for a part and I cannot find it.

I’m having a similar issue . The dealership had me drive with a technician he felt the transmission slipping and the noise . Then they asked us to put it in Sport mode and the noise was not apparent. Then Ford asked us to drive another new Bronco to compare . I drove a Bronco from the dealer and no noise or slipping of the transmission. Now they said I’ll have to leave my car there a week or so to figure it out. They already ran engine diagnostics /updated software and no change . I wonder how many other owners have transmission issues. Hopefully, they can figure it out .

Sorry to hear about your issues with your Ford Bronco. I have a Ford 2021 Bronco and am also having issues, specifically it is experiencing an engine shudder. I notice the shudder more while driving at lower speeds (40 mph and below). At times when I break, the rpm spikes to 3,000 rpm’s while breaking before the car comes to a stop, the engine then shudders. Other times, while changing lower speeds, the engine will also jump before it shifts into the next gear. I have taken my car in twice to the dealership and I was also told that this is a characteristic of the vehicle. I have had other Ford’s before that had a similar engine and it did not have that characteristic. The guy at the dealership who test drove my car said he could see what I was describing but when it came time for the car to be taken in to the mechanic he said the characteristic was normal for the engine. This absolutely does not feel normal! Next time I take it in will be my third time visiting the dealership and I am not confident that the issue will resolve. This will likely be my last time buying a Ford vehicle.

This sounds like a "learning transmission" issue more than an engine issue. Try disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes, then reconnect. This should reset the transmission module and you should notice a difference in the shift points when decelerating and braking. I did this periodically with my F150.

If it is a similar learning transmission, our 2015 Focus had similar issues as Described above. Many many many trips to the dealership to reprogram and take apart and put back together, the first 2 yeas were a nightmare, but Ford made it right at the end of the day. Our nephew still drives that Focus with over 350k miles on the clock. Original engine too !

Hello! If you could send over your VIN and dealer info, I would be happy to look into your engine shudder concern on my end.
