Seriously though, I have no issue with people who want to build a mall crawler. To each their won...

Dude that lives down the street from me has a lifted Gladiator (prob 7" lift) with 37's and something like 24" wheels. All you see is the wheels and a tiny spec of tire.. He has it all kitted out with lightbar, ditch lights, winch, full size spare in the bed mounted high to make sure you can see it etc..

IMO it's as ugly as ugly can be and every time I see it, I think "why" to myself but if he is happy with it then so be it...

Same with the ducks in Jeeps. I have a friend who has her entire Wrangler dash littered with ducks. I give her a hard time and tell her that rubber ducks are for children to play with in the tub but it's all in good fun. If people want to overload their Jeep with ducks, then cool, have at it!

I really don't care what they do, after it's their choice, but it's also our choice to poke fun at them
I actually helped my neighbor build his mall crawler overland truck.The shovel mounted to the side of bed racks will rot out before it sees dirt.🤣
but he's having fun and supporting the aftermarket and put a few bucks in my pocket for welding.
Maybe I should sell bucking bronco figures so people can buck bronco drivers.

In my writing group, a member has a character who's rich and bought a Land Rover, high-end, because it's cool and looks macho I told him Land Rover is a soccer-Mom level off-roader.. The writer wanted the character to be a phony. So I told him the Land Rover was a good start, then had a few more suggestions, such as having the dealer put on the most expensive winch available and increase the wheel size, a few other things. Story-wise, it worked out well, as the character got trapped on a Colorado back road behind a landfall, and, having never used the winch or even read the manual, had to figure out how to get it engaged. As the character is winching himself over the the landfall, the Rover starts to laterally slide dowslope towards the precipice, a race between cresting the landfall or dangling off the precipice.,
