The idea for the lower trims is for people that don't want or need the fluff you get with the other packages or will do aftermarket.I for one don't like loaded up cars because in five years half that stuff doesn't work anymore.
For decades the way broncos were outfitted for off-road here was to add better tires,wheels and a winch.Lifts, oversize tires and crazy suspension aren't really needed unless you are mud bogging.
I agree there needs to be a lower trim -entry level Bronco. But it just seem that if you want to add some options you get pushed to the higher trim levels that have more bang for the buck. Back in ‘22 my brother got a Basesquatch 4-door with every option; v6, hard top, full bash plates, mod bumper, and slide out tailgate for $44k
