Say what you will, but I like having fog lights. Does the factory Full Underbody Bash Plates still apply since I chose the standard bumper? It is my understanding that bumper is still steel, just not modular. What say you?

P.S.
As me wife suggested, I did pay 11 bucks each for two black Hella covers and they look sooo much better!

Sadly, I then saw a set of black Hella grill covers and I ordered them. So I paid 65 bucks for the lights but I have 100 bucks in light covers!

This vehicle will likely be the last ICE 4x4 I ever own, and plan to own and enjoy for (hopefully) 10+ years. So, the wife and I are sparing no expense, and have chosen every option we even think we would like. This also implies I overthink a lot of our choices (hence this thread lol).

Your bumper is actually one step up from the base bumper and one under the steel modular. Essentially, it is the same as the base except for the fog lights and different I/J hooks.

TK,

I went back thru my emails and found the 6-25-21 email that you posted. I notice the price protection for MSRP. I went and had to convert my order and made changes in hopes of getting a build date. Original Badlands, painted black roof, 2,7 and sas. My new order witch still shows as a 3-18 21 date is a Badlands eruption green, 2.3, mt and non sas. I hope the honor the bumper because I ordered a two door I think the price protection is 975 dollars.

Porkchop the roof rails cost 725 dollars? For the Yakima that can be ordered at the time of build for 350. That is ridiculous I might need to adjust my order! Planned on using some ford pass points to order them for some paddle boards I have.

725 a rail! I asked twice! And I relayed that online it says 350 for the entire rack when building a 2022. He checked again and then said, yes... each side. I just can't help but wonder was he looking at some other option they make that is much more expensive? They have like 20 additional components for sale for the roof.

I hate not having some type of rack on the damn thing. It looks naked in an odd way. While I doubt highly I am gonna through plywood from Lowes or the Depot (my Kia Soul is the beast for that kinda stuff), I do think a proper roof rack is just part of the whole deal. I was even thinking of going with a universal that is simply two top bars, but it is so hard to understand how any thing hooks up and if it can even work since there is such little knowledge out there.

I will def admit, it is very cool to be a part of all of this scarcity, but it is quite frustrating as well

One other thing to note, if you look at my bumper in this pic, I just want to share that the little side panels on both the left and right sides of the inner bumper are large chunks of plastic that just pop out by hand. I was tempted to scribe 3-inch circles and then pop holes in them and add a set of in bumper fog lights, but after the twin Hella 6" install I realized I will never really need more light than what I got.

It would, however, fill another switch on the ceiling and look pretty damn cool to have a set of recessed fogs left and right. I also wondered since they look so close, could I order the plastic plates separate for the mid bumper with the light assemblies in and just install them? I will note that when I popped out the left and right plastic pieces, the steel behind the plastic plates does actually have big 4 inch holes pressed in it to receive factory fog lights.
