They are getting ready to compete with this.

There's a place for all electric vehicles as an option. But I can't see them being the norm in even my kids lifetime. I might be interested in a hybrid. But have zero interest in an EV.

Last I heard, America had 400+yrs

Our childrens children should be dead by then unless they become cyborgs by then

Well Hell, we should all be using “Mr. Fusion” brand nuclear generators by then! 😎
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

Most folks commenting seem not to have read the article, which predicts that Ford will build BOTH gas AND electric models.

Yup thats it in a nutshell but I will add that given carbon capture, the need for evs will diminish.Plus no one is talking about maitaing carbon leveles so plant life can survive.

Farleys plan is to phase out ICE, which is why he needs to go.

He won’t go anywhere until investors tell him it’s time to go.

Right now they’re happy with him. Maverick Hybrid is the most in-demand hybrid vehicle in the country, F-150 Lightning beat Cybertruck to market and has a gigantic wait list. E-Transit has been extremely successful. Ford Pro services has generated a ton of interest from the business community.

And on top of that, demand for Bronco brand is insane, and the new High Output SuperDuty is effectively sold out for the production year.

No CEO lasts forever, but at the moment there is no reason for investors to give him the boot.

I would like to see a hybrid Bronco similar to the F150 with the big generator. Make it as capable as it can be.

You can have all the demand you want, until the vehicles are delivered there is no profit.F is trading @ 13.18 right now, it will be years before it gets anywhere near 20.

Great news. I think it's safe to say by 2030 every car will have electric variant. The same people complaining about an electric Bronco in 2029, probably never thought we'd have another Bronco in 2015. Things change, technology improves.

Just a matter of time before they fail again. They didn't work 100yrs ago, won't work today either

virtually every automaker is gearing up to introduce EV’s…. ICE’s will be around for a long time but EV’s are already reaching critical mass to make them much more viable for lots of driving situations

Unless you live in California. I'm guessing they will ban driving them in 20 years.

Did you read the link? Its artificial demand to limit our mobility, otherwise wouldnt be such a push.

I’ll be damned to ever get in an EV, ill just get an old car and keep fixing it up before that ever happens

If anything, I’ll just get a LJ70, rebuild the engine and put in better parts for more power, and drive that for the rest of its life, a long with a few other classics

As the article states, there’d be hundreds if not for all this bs, and its not like a new regime cant come in and reverse all these Watermelon policies (Green on the outside, Red on the inside)
