My Bronco was ordered incorrectly by dealer and does not have Lux package installed. Does anyone know if that can be put in now at dealership?
I ordered the Bronco with Lux package and it was built with High Package.

Not really no. You can do some of it on your own like upgrading the speakers in the sound system, but the rest is not really feasible. Sorry.

Sounds like an intense undertaking. The screen, the audio guts, adaptive cruise control and whatever sensors that requires, the programming. Anything is possible, but it sounds like crazy effort.

Any way to get the dealer to own up?

the dealer may not have been the problem. Many times before going into production things "fell" off my build. I literally checked my order every couple days, and had the dealer add back on what "fell off"...LUX package was one of those things. Lol, funny thing was, my Bronco came with the towing package...none of my fellow Bronco lovers can figure out how I got that...

Sell it and start over. That’s it. Unless you’re extremely wealthy stay with what you have otherwise if you have money to burn then go ahead , burn it. 🙈

What does lux get you over High package?
Adaptive cruise.
heated steering wheel
homelink buttons
a few extra marginal speakers
inductive charging
an extra charge port on the dash.

the Adaptive Cruise would be difficult to add. but do you really need that?
heated steering wheel might be added but pretty tough, but do you really need that?
Homelink you can buy on Amazon.
you can add speakers and an amp from the aftermarket and come out ahead.
inductive Charging Maybett the extra charge port can be added but I am just going to use a Kayak thru hull wiring grommet.
Even the Base Bronco has plenty of creature comforts my Brothers Basesquatch impresses me. My Everglades is only slightly nicer.
So the way I see it the Dealership probably just ended up saving you money.

Yeah, I do love the bigger screen...but that is the only feature on the LUX package I really use that much. The wireless charger over heats my iPhone and the heated steering wheel is cool, but it can get too warm (like the heated seats...YOUCH!) The sound system is okay...could be better. But I LOVE my Bronco so Ima keep it.

So - I have the Lux package on mine - and here's my thoughts:

The adaptive cruise - is almost worth the cost of the Lux package itself - it's a freaking game changer when you're on the highway
heated steering wheel - is really nice on cool mornings to come out to it already running and the steering wheel already nice and warm
homelink buttons - it's beyond me why this isn't a standard feature - but I'm really glad I have it so I don't have to carry around a garage door clicker from 1989
B&O system - as others have said numerous times - is not worth $10. It's trash. I've had my bronco almost 5 weeks and have already swapped out all the speakers (and it was a huge upgrade) for $500. I'm no audiophile - I'm deaf in one ear and partially deaf in the other .. .but even my deaf ears could tell it was garbage
Inductive charging - trash - as others have mentioned, it's a cell phone warmer. It doesn't increase the charge level on your phone, it basically just prevents it from getting any lower, while turning your phone into a pocket warmer
The extra charge port on the dash is nice, but not a game changer

Additionally, Lux includes the Evasive steering assist, which is nice - I hope I never need it

Adaptive cruise control is the heaviest weighted reason I went LUX, second to the speakers (which are only decent, but I think they are going to be ok for the next little while.)

I doubt you can add it at the dealership without having to basically dissect your Bronco, unfortunately. I am more alarmed that you weren’t shown the dealer order summary. It’s the blueprint for your build.

Similar thing happened to me with the Tow package. In Dec'21, I was staying with my buddy that works at Ford. He signed into the order system, and I watched him remove the two package (an effort to get built faster). Fast forward to Mar'22 when my Bronco got pulled for production, the same buddy went into the system to make sure everything was correct with my build, and lo and behold the tow package was back on it. He didn't put it back on. My dealer didn't put it back on. So who the heck knows...

I currently own the Lux package….
And before that. I owned the Mid package….
(With my first Bronco)

😁😁😁here is what sticks out to me between the two…..(MID and LUX)

LUX package:

-The headlights newer and cooler looking
BUT DO NOT FUNCTION ANY BETTER (than the standard light) IMO

-side lights under mirrors … these are nice when you approach the car …. But the real use of these lights are to turn off from to side to side … To utilize this function takes a trip to the owners manual to figure out… so unless you use them all the time you won’t be playing with those lights….

-active cruise control…. I hate active cruise control… when operating active cruise control this system subliminally slows down as you approach a car…. So unless you switch lanes ahead of time to free up a clear lane … you find yourself constantly trying to outwit this constant speed loss…
Total pain in the aXE!!!! Give me the MID old cruise control…. Please!

- programmable garage door openers… I actually like this feature. One of the few pluses with the LUX package.

-12 inch screen which gives you the exact same size function as the MID screen….
In other words….. in Apple car play Google maps is the same size on both the small and large screen…. You get an extra tilt/level or whatever configuration Ford fills the screen to the right side of the screen….
However the meat and potatoes part of the screen viewed is exactly the same as size as the MID screen…

-360 view (when in reverse) of the top down view with an additional view of the rear camera….
Thus is actually AWESOME!!! It’s like magic!!!!
😁😁😁😁very cool

-front camera…. When off roading it comes on automatically, however you can turn it on anytime… It is a revelation to see what you are about to drive over especially when Off road…. Most importantly when going up a steep hill you can ONLY see with the front camera…. (Total revelation)
Again….completely awesome (for off road purposes). If not off-roading I don’t know how important this really is…
But I DO Like the front camera!!!

Heated steering wheel…. A lot if folks absolutely rave about this function …. I have never bothered with this… Maybe if it was snowing or freezing I might have a reason to appreciate this function… no opinion one way or another

-wireless phone charger…. Overheats your phone…total pain in the AXE!! When attempting to charge on a long trip,…. It WILL shut down your phone…. You will be without a phone for about an hour waiting for your phone to cool down…

Absolute BS!!! Ford absolutely has to fix this!!!
Wireless phone charger

Also, if it is actually charging … it will wipe out your magnetic codes on your credit/medical/ Costco cards if you leave your wallet on top of your phone in the cubby hole.

Don’t ask me how I found this out😡😡😡😡😡
Give me the MID package cubby hole that is actually functional… please!!!!
Charging your phone by wire really is not an inconvenience!!!!

The Mid package….
I actually like with the same heated seats and dual zone climate control…. Totally happy with the functionality… totally fabulous….

The Lux has some substance to it but it’s not cheap and unless you absolutely require the extra bells and whistles…. IMO the Mid package is great…

Hopes this helps!!!

More food for thought.... Ford can't build Lux package broncos hardly.. I'd say the parts are not available, even if you wanted to try to do it, and then the programming would be another part.

You may be doing it wrong.

What I mean is… I’ve been using adaptive cruise control for years, and while I have have to learn and understand the feature and its use, I’ve never had to outwit it.

Depending on road conditions, and the movement of other cars, the adaptive cruise control may apply brakes at a time when I, as the driver, would not have. As a user of adaptive cruise control I know that I have not been alleviated of my responsibility to drive the car. I have to understand how the feature works, and be prepared to respond and work with it.

It reminds me of antilock brakes. Apparently, some folks thought/think that when ABS start ratcheting it means they should ease off of the brake pedal, when in fact means the exact opposite! You have to understand how ABS works if you want to use it, and work with it.

It’s perfectly fine to hate a car feature (I think)… but I’m not sure hating ACC becuase it slowed down when a car was in front of you is the right reason, is all I’m saying. 😁

Not all of that- you get the screen, camera and view with the high as well.
But for lux the homelink is the garage door opener and the evasive steering mentioned in the pic you posted. Lux is an add on to High

I don’t care for the wireless charger either. I haven’t had any overheating or problems like that, I just don’t like have my phone lying down flat instead of vertical for better reception. Also I found that any time my phone moved from the “sweet spot” it quit charging. Lastly I hate giving up the little compartment in a vehicle with almost no storage spots.

Adaptive cruise control does what it is supposed to. Also you can adjust how many car lengths away you want it to start slowing you down. You can select 4 bars down to 1 bar.

Open highway with few cars I would use 4 bars just in case my mind wasn’t in the game.

Typically I use 1 bar because for me anything more slows me down too soon and someone is always sliding into the space left by the ACC with 2 or more bars which then slows me down even further.

It’s something you have to get used to or just don’t use it. You can still use cruise control as you always have just turn the ACC off then it is just like old cruise control.

Don’t fear the new.
