Adaptive cruise sensor vs bumper change.

24 OBX /SAS/ LUX. Wife is looking to swap front bumpers. The one she wants has a mesh grill in front of the adaptive cruise sensor I believe.

Has anyone used a bumper similar and had success with it not interfering with the adaptive cruise sensor?

My 26 badlands / SAS does not have the LUX package and wouldn’t be an issue.

Anyone used anything similar on theirs?

We installed ARB's Summit front bumper that has their ploy grill trimmed providing a clear openning for both cruise sensor & camera. We're told Ford had engineeering & safety inputs with ARB's Bronco accessory designs including crash ratings, airbag deployment , etc. So, I'm assuming ARB's grill cutout was approved by Ford's dept of nerds.

I believe other Bronco bumper accessory providers sell sensor mounting adapters for behind the grill installs that don't require grill cutting, so am guessing the cruise sensor will probably work. At least work to some degree, but have to wonder if/how much a specific grill design will diminish it's efficacy.

Cheers

Thanks Kenneth. Behind the grill relocation may be a last resort.
