With the Filson Bronco getting the 3 Point Nothing, from the Ford parts department....
That can only mean one thing, right?. The Bronco Raptor gets a upgrade very soon... But what will it be? The Three and a half TT HO from the F150 lineup? Or and all new powerplant.
Or does it get the two door treatment... either way, there will be no row your own gearbox... ๐Ÿ˜œ

What's your thoughts??

We can only dream of a Bronco Raptor R. It will be so expensive, but at least an option for some. Ford knows it is a desired product a lot of us want. Or if they keep the 3.0, bump up the numbers to 500 and let's go!

Iโ€™d bet Ford either squeezes a bit more juice out of the current 3.0L or goes the hybrid route to boost the low-end torque.

As for a 2-door Raptor? We can dream, but that short wheelbase at Raptor speeds in the desert might be a seriously wild ride. And yeah, RIP to the manual... a 3.5L with three pedals would be the ultimate unicorn. ๐Ÿฆ„

I so wanted the 3.5 HO in the Raptor. I had F150s with the 3.5Eco, solid engine.

My BB came with the factory fog lights in the plastic bumper. I replaced them with the FP replacement driving lights by Rigid. What a difference!

Id love a just an n/a 5.0 in front of my 7 speed i can put a blower on it later if I decide that's what I want
But with it wide enough for the 2.7 and long enough for the 2.3 that 5.0 should plop in there already id think and id pay the extra 2500 or whatever it is on the f150 for one in my bronco, especially with the 7 speed behind it. I never understood if the ten speed can go behind all of em, why can't the seven speed manual.

Ive reported on this for a year now.. I told viewers the 3.0L was coming to the normal line up.
I had a source tell me the 2.7 is going away and the 3.0 would take the place in the lin eup. IF this is true I wouldnt expect the Bandlands to get the 3.0 till 28.
I do expect a 3.5L Raptor R maybe late this year or next. Pricing will be in line with the F150 R and you can expect dealers to F over buyers..

The 3.0 is in need of a total redesign similar to what the 2.3 went through. Itโ€™s flawed with its direct injection only platform. Not to mention its block design is far from stout compared to the 2.7 engine. Cramming this engine into the Bronco engine bay is not great for heat dissipation or maintenance/repair.
