Dec 23, 2025

Following the line of our fav mods/accessories of the year, what meetups or events left you with good feelings and great memories? It's hard to pick just one!

For me, my top hits were this month's RTR Bronco Golf in Johnson Valley, and two other first timers for me: June's Bronco the Mac and August's Bronco Birthday Bash at Silver Lake Sand Dunes, both here in Michigan. I think I picked these three because they were the only events I didn't have to work(ish) 😅 Not that getting to serve at events isn't a privilege!

But truly, I love getting to my local meetups with the Michigan Bronco Club, because I get to see the largest percentage of Bronco friends at once. If you're not plugged into a club yet, find one or start one!

I'm planning my 2026 events now, and I know I want to hit a few favorites (May It Forward for the full event this time, Super Cel East, plus our regular Michigan ones like Woodward) and a couple new ones in different parts of the U.S.

What's on your list for next year?

Are you coming out West this upcoming year Laura? Missed you this year!

The Super Cels will probably be handled this year like last -- one teammate, maybe an Off-Roadeo guide or a small meetup, etc. With our now-smaller team, it's nice that we can rely on localish members like @TorgSurv to host at events. I'll likely be at East, either as Bronco Nation or a part of the community, but I'm unsure about West yet. I'd love to go as part of the community, because when I work the events, I don't get to go out off-roading with everyone and miss out on all those hours together.

The late March meet up in Moab was a highlight doing some wheeling with some BN friends was great. Even ones that switched to the dark side. Lol. The ghost town tour with Melissa and Brian was a blast too.and the SPI beach run with 80 other broncos is always a blast.

I'd love to do a Melissa + Brian tour; they bring that calm, "you've got this" energy to obstacles, and I know how they like to have fun! You guys who have gone have been inspiring me. Looks like a great set of trips in 2025, and I hope your 2026 adventures top them!

Attending the Bronco Off Roadeo in Horseshoe Bay, Texas with Tim Bartz, a.k.a. the "Ford Video Guy" and attending the Overland Expo PNW in Oregon this year top my Bronco-related activities. What a blast! Nothing like exploring everything the BRONCO has to offer AND taking a road trip! Far better than just tooling down rutted forest service roads, for sure... 😝

Oh, that had to be fun! @fordvideoguy has helped so many of us with his knowledge and research. Do you think you'll do OE-PNW this year? I'd love to make it back; I miss our Basecamps out there.

The only official Bronco "event" I did was the Bring Your Own Bronco in Moab. Super fun. Still haven't worked out the video for that.

But if you're not referring to specific, official Bronco events, I did tons of cool stuff this year. My favorite was probably Hell's Revenge and Hell's Gate.

Absolutely -- any trip in a 4x4 is worth talking about, and hey, we can talk about our favorite tropical cruise or whatever! Word of mouth is my favorite way to learn about places and things, and I bet it is for many here too. Looking forward to watching your video; thanks for sharing!

Yes, I plan on attending the OE-PNW in ‘26. I’m getting geared up for camping in 2027. I’ve got a couple international trips scheduled for next year, so I’m focusing on those. But beyond them, I’m going to be making extensive use of the Bronco for overland excursions.

And you’re right about Tim, he’s an incredible resource for all things Ford, especially if you’re in the market for a new vehicle. And he’s a man of true character as well. It was great to meet him and spend the day at the Texas BOR complex!

What tires where you running on hells gate? My factory Goodyear were flawless. But I wonder if the BFG K03s I put on 10 months ago would do as well, they are stiff with a fairly hard rubber compound. But glad you made it with no damage.

I was running Falken Wildpeak RT/01s. I was aired down to 25, and what I'm reading says that because these tires have hard rubber and thick sidewalls, they need to be more aired down - way more. The thick sidewalls were a selling point for me because I'd gotten a slash in the sidewall of the stock tires (the General Grabber AT). I guess this is how one has to learn things sometimes.

I've attended several Bronco events this year. Waynes Stroppe Bronco Collection with Mile High Bronco Club in January, Meet-Up with Broncos of Central Florida at Ford's Garage in February, Texas Off-Roadeo with @BuckYeah and Broncos of Texas Turkey Creek Trail Ribbon Cutting at Hidden Falls in March, Bronco Super Cel Tennessee in April, Bronco Birthday Bash in Michigan in August, Bronco Super Celebration Colorado in September, Bronco Off-Roadeo Nevada in December. Plus all the fun Off-Road trips with friends like Brian and @Melissa Clark and many others. It's hard to pick a favorite so I won't but I want to tell everyone that hasn't been to a Bronco event, find one and go. This Bronco community is the best and I've met so many friends with our Bronco in the last year. I can't wait for all the fun we are going to have in 2026.

Agreed, Tim. I wish I could attend as many events as you; mine is the result of being pulled in so many directions and having limited means. That said, there are some incredible people out there worth sharing your time with, and some not so much, but that works out for the best too. The Bronco is a catalyst for good times!

Excited to watch this later today -- your photography/videography is always inspiring. The layoff news sucks; what industry are you looking in, if you care to share? It would be cool if one of us has a lead.

thanks - I've worked in contact centers for 30 years - 25 of them in a leadership role. I have a lead on a role right now - I've had an interview with a recruiter and 3 interviews with VP's - they're flying me out of state next month to meet with the team, so I've got my fingers crossed. Bonus - it's an automotive related industry (I spent the first 7 years of my career painting cars after going to Wyoming Tech), so connecting my 30 years of contact center experience back to my automotive experience would be super cool... fingers crossed!

I will say I was very very disappointed in Ford for doing a special "reveal" for the folks who showed up (from around the country) to see what they had promised as a reveal to the attendees... Only to have the Youtubers get an early look the day before and allow them to drop a video at 6am in the morning.
Ford embargo is what it is.. This was national news and only 8 or so Journalist showed to cover the 6oth. Most covered it from a Ford press release. Hell I think my coverage did not go up till noon that day.

Silver Lake Sand Dunes for the 60th Anniversary of Bronco was my favorite. I got to see just a tiny bit of what Michigan has to offer as far as landscape on the west coast.. Yes that lake is that big!! I enjoyed spending Friday evening on the dunes with the Bronco and Wild Fund brand ambassadors, along with 500+ other wild folks that were on the dunes. That place is crazy!!

Only to have the Youtubers get an early look the day before and allow them to drop a video at 6am in the morning. Prior to the "reveal" to the public at the dunes at 10am. Once I seen the video, I canceled plans on the dunes, and headed home. 🤷‍♂️... Oh well such is life..
Then Mud fest, i mean Super Cel EAST in Townsend, Tennessee. It was a great show. But im a bit bias. I get to enjoy those views everyday.

I agree. I was one of those Youtubers that was given the embargo information and one of the few that saw the Bronco a day early. I was surprised at the 6am embargo lift with the in person reveal happening later in the morning. They did that for the Mustang reveal as well. I remember being in attendance when my friends were reposting the embargoed information an hour before the reveal. You feel cheated.

I did post my video at 6am and should have waited out of respect for those in attendance. Lesson learned!

My comment was in no way aimed at you tubers and journalist. My disappointments was in Fords handling of it. While I realize Ford just used the Bday Bash at the Dunes for a free promo close to home. And Ford doesnt care what I think. (They didnt call and ask me) is why I say that...lol. But they could have timed it out better maybe delay the embargo to 11 am... I also understand that Ford understands youtube traffic. And obviously 6am is a great time slot for views, maybe.

So dont you guys ever feel like you did something wrong. Cause in this world, if your not first.... your last. Keep producing great content. And let the chips fall where they may.

I did not take it that way. We have chatted at several events, in fact we talked the morning of the sand dunes event. I agree that Ford should have handled it differently.
