Things that Make the Bronco Community Unique.

Recently, I have been thinking about what makes communities unique. (We all know how Jeep has “The Wave” and “The Badge of Honor”.)

To understand the Bronco community, I began exploring our archives. More specifically, the threads devoted to the Legacy Vehicles, Gen 1 – 5 Broncos.

Sometimes I lose sight of the forest for the trees, for our uniqueness is right here. It is Bronco Nation and how it gathers generations of owners with Broncos which span decades. That is unique.

I encourage other members to explore our archives and share the threads which spoke to you in gaining a deeper understanding of our unique community.

Great post BuzzyBud! I am genuinely excited to become a part of this community. I drive a Jeep, I’ve tried connecting via forums and other communities, but it seems there is always the “square headlights isn’t a Jeep” “4 doors aren’t Jeep’s” “it’s no longer a Jeep it’s a Fiat” there is so much negativity based on the different generations, doors, and motor options.

It seems that with the Bronco, Ford has bid a homage with the modern retro look, and the community for the most part has embraced the models (including the Sport).

I’m thinking of driving my Jeep up to Super Cel East, and camping in it while participating in the community more!

Thank you again for the post!

I suspect for most 2021/2022 Bronco owners, SuperCel has been all about seeing the latest Bronco. Maybe sit in one and participate in a ride-along. That is all good. But there is so much more. As you dig deep into the history of our community you may gain a new understanding of why members keep returning to SuperCel each year.

From a grand scale, I would say diversity is what best identifies the Bronco to me. As I understand the history, the Bronco was conceived to be more 'all purpose'. The design was\is based on being able to have a vehicle that could be more versatile at serving both off and on road needs. To me, this broadened the audience to all people resulting in a more diverse set of people. Whether this was simply a task of being more pragmatic - it resulted in bringing people of all types together which appeals to me.

I've got another spin on the uniqueness of us 6th Gen. want-to-bes......we all have the "Bronco Blues"...not AMB, not VB, not LB, but blues like fine blues music that cures all. I found this quote by Peter Tork (yes the one from the Monkees): "The blues brings you back into the fold. The blues isn't about the blues, it's about we have all had the blues and we are all in this together." We're just caught in a really long song.:cool::cool:

@PSUTE I am glad you rediscovered this thread. We are all on an interesting journey to own a Bronco. To fully appreciate where we are going as a community, it helps to understand where we have been. I understand our focus on the nuts and bolts of the Bronco, but that is not the heart and soul of our community. Luckily, we have a road map to help us. I have listed just a few of the threads and videos which are rich in the content on our history. Enjoy!

Jill and I have always wanted a Bronco. From the day we started dating we were always on the look out for one. The day finally came and we were able to get a 1987 Bronco and loved working on it together. Repairing the rust, making the engine run better, replacing all the suspension bushing, redoing the interior, and making plans on what to do next. The smile on Jill's face was priceless. The day we had to sell it to cover the debt we acquired do to her cancer was a bad for her. But the new Bronco was coming out and that gave us something to look forward too again. The day she picked up her Bronco Sport? I saw that smile again. The day we pick up the Bronco? I think she will be in tears she will be so happy. Bronco means a lot to us. It gave us hope for things to come, something to focus on other then the grim reality we were living in. In fact, our first true vacation/honeymoon will be to the Texas Off-Roadeo. We can't wait to get out and meet more enthusiasts in the community, now that we finally can without fear of her getting sick.

FYI, every time I talk about the bronco and what it means to us it brings tears to my eyes knowing it gave Jill hope for the future. The Bronco has been and will be a big part of our lives. Tons of memories will be made with them.

I've been watching your videos. You guys are a great couple. I'm looking forward to your content when you get your full size Bronco. That sincere and genuine interaction between the two of you and the hands on approach of your videos makes them enjoyable and well worth the watch. Good stuff (y)

We have been out for a week and a half. I have worked 19 days at 12 hours a day. It took a lot out of me. I couldn't keep it up... lol With a weekend off I will be able to start again. )

FYI We will be getting the Sport wrapped with a custom wrap job in the next month or so. We will be getting the same one for the Bronco (with minor changes.)
