In two years, prices for all generations of Broncos have skyrocketed. See the change in average price between July 2020 and the present day. Read the article here!

This article conflates price and value with regards to the 2021+ Broncos. Yes, if you bought at $35,000 and sold it for $60,000 that's a good value. But people who are paying $60,000 for a $35,000 vehicle are going to be upside down when the chip shortage settles down and these are readily available on the lot. Can some people afford to do that? Sure! Does that make it a good value? Not really.

For the 6th gen Bronco I would agree since it is a currently produced vehicle. But the article is really highlighting the older generation Broncos, which obviously do not have a price since they are no longer actively manufactured.

The 1st generation Broncos have always held their value pretty well since it is a highly sought-after vehicle by the wider offroad community. But the 3rd and 4th generation Broncos rising in value is especially surprising to me. The 3rd generation Bronco in particular was never that popular in the Bronco community.

It would seem buying 4th & 5th gens would be a good investment for flipping

Great article, Dean! I was curious about the "who’ve been reminded of the four-year pause in production in the mid-70s" comment in the section on the 78-79 trucks. Are you referring to the approximately 4 year delay in those trucks coming out? Also, the Eddie Bauer models were introduced during the 3rd gen run, not the 4th gen.
