I am not sure if anyone here has been following the saga about how the new allocation formula for the Bronco is shortchanging those of us who have placed orders with smaller dealers who stepped up to compete in the open market place? Granger Ford has been open, honest and honorable in their dealings with with reservation/order holders and even with those who were not. They had over 1,000 orders for Broncos and the mega dealers have stepped in to share their displeasure on how Granger is competing in the market place. Have we not seen enough of the surprise extra ADMs and Broncos being sold out from under customers? Ford has given in to this saber rattling from the mega dealers. In Georgia we could not even get dealers to respond to our questions on Broncos.
Granger had over 200 allocations for 2021 and they just received their initial allocation of 2022s and they have been allotted 11 Broncos to start the year. They also had a percent match of orders to sales for their Broncos. With this new formula in place, I will not receive my Bronco until 2023. I reserved on 7/23/20. It is unbelievable that they would penalize a dealer who is bringing customer service to a new level for car dealers. To be fair, the discount is nice that they are offering but my #1 priority was to not have dealer shenanigans with my Bronco when it was delivered. Granger has proven that they can do it right. They are now punishing customers who want to purchase from Granger.
When order banks open for MY22 they will allow a dealer change and are setting things up to get us to move to other dealers where we, in theory, could possibly receive our Broncos earlier. This is not a way to treat customers, especially when this launch has gone so poorly.
We in the Bronco community have supported each other. We may have differences of opinion on things from time to time but it has been more supportive than not. If you think this is not right I am asking that you show you support. Ford should be looking to provide a greater level of service than this. I know they can and hopefully they will change their minds on this and look to build Broncos the way they originally said that they would. Thank you for reading and showing your support.
