That's a terrible idea, when do we start?

And so the more serious modifications to the Bronco begin. It's in the shop right now getting the following installed:

  1. Front Ride 2.5" Coilovers with 550 lan/in Spring. https://rideshocks.com/shop/vehicle...nco-2-5-front-coilovers-0-4-5-lift-525414389/
  2. Rear Ride 2.5" Coilovers, 235 Lb/in springs. https://accutuneoffroad.com/product...-0-5-5″-lift-dpa-235-lb-in-multi-rate-spring/
  3. Icon Tubular UCA's with Delta Joint Pro Kit. https://accutuneoffroad.com/product/icon-2021-ford-bronco-tubular-uca-kit-delta-joint-pro-kit/
  4. Icon Rear Tubular Upper Adjustable Control Arms. https://accutuneoffroad.com/product/icon-2021-ford-bronco-rear-tubular-upper-control-arms-2/
  5. Icon Rear Tubular Lower Control Arms. https://accutuneoffroad.com/product/icon-2021-ford-bronco-rear-tubular-lower-control-arms/
  6. Icon Rear Adjustable Track Bar. https://accutuneoffroad.com/product/icon-2021-ford-bronco-rear-adjustable-track-bar/
This was all a "kit" I bought through Accutune Offroad. https://accutuneoffroad.com/product...d-travel-suspension-kit-stage-3a-ride-shocks/

Should be ready tomorrow, and then we will see if it lives up to expectation. Right now I'm sticking with my SAS wheels and tires, but the intent when these Goodyears wear out is to replace them with 37's and new wheels. I'm not sure what wheels I want to get yet. I want something with internal beadlocks however. I'm curious what other folks are doing with tires/wheels? That probably won't happen until late this year or early next year so I have some time to research it. In the meantime, I'm looking forward to the better "ride" from the Rides.

Looking forward to your review. There is just not a lot of actual customer feedback on these yet since they are relatively new to the market. The addition of the rear bits, you should be getting a lot more articulation.

Curious if you are switching out your tie rods? And if so which ones are you putting on?

I'm not right now. I currently have the Bronco Buster braces on them, but the plan is to replace the entire rack with the BRONCO SEVERE DUTY STEERING UPGRADE KIT at some point. Right now I'm focused on building a Bronco that can handle 5-6 rated trails with ease. Once I go to the 37's I'm more concerned with beefing up the steering rack, etc. That's probably a project for next year and that's going to take some research to nail down.

OK, the install is complete. Yes, I had a shop do it. I don't have a lift, and my back isn't so good, so I decided to get a professional to do it for me. The ride home was like night and day better. Hopefully offroad will be the same. I plan to take it out on some easy trails this weekend, we will see. Oh, and I got about 2" of lift in the front, and 1.5" of lift in the back so it sits nice and level now.

Those are Accutune‘s private label shocks? I hear they get excellent reviews!

Hey @JoergH can you take a side profile shot of your wheels and tires. I want to take a look at its stance with the level and lift. Still on OEM wheels and tires correct?

Yup, I bought everything as a package from Accutune. I haven’t seen my reviews of their shocks yet so I’m taking a bit of a leap of faith.

Exciting times, @JoergH! I can personally vouch for your DV8 skid plates. Don't ask how I know, but trust me, they saved me a LOT of money and aggravation. Photographic evidence to be given in a separate post... 😉
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

Every accessory I buy comes with a sticker. I don't think you have room for all those stickers on the bronco.

Seriously.... Very cool mods and can't wait for your review.

Yes, I'm still on the stock SAS tires and wheels. I had to pull her into the street to get her on somewhat level ground. My driveway has some pitch to it. Overall, she's really level. Here's a couple of pictures:

Note that Ride/Accutune literal tuns the shocks and springs based on the weight of your vehicle. So, for example, if I had a winch in the front with maybe an aftermarket bumper, etc. I would get a different set of springs, and the shocks would get different tuning. Accutune has been doing this for years for both King and Fox shocks, and now their Ride shocks as well.

Ok, took her out on some rutted trails this weekend, and I couldn’t be happier. I can definitely see the added droop. It’s generally more planted to the road, both on and off-road. IMG_6451.jpegIMG_6453.jpegIMG_6436.jpegIMG_6435.jpeg
