K&N - Don't waste your money

The design is simply terrible. I have a 2025 Ford Bronco Raptor on which I installed the cold air intake system SKU 63-2625. I'm very unsatisfied with it.

Here are my observations:

  1. The position and installation of the Air Charge Temperature Sensor is absolutely terrible. The grommet doesn't fit, and infact has popped into the intake, causing risk of damage to the turbo charger by possibly ingesting the grommet.
  2. The vacuum tubing connections are poorly placed, leading to unnecessary modification of the factory tubing.
  3. The intake cover had one of the four main Allen screws spinning freely, not allowing for proper installation.

Overall, as the most expensive option on the market, it's pretty terrible. I've now driven 2000 miles with it, but I will be removing it and replacing with an AFE intake or the OEM intake. The retailer has stated they will not accept a return and to contact the manufacturer.

Good to know! I was always a fan of K&N, and I was about to order one for my Bronco Raptor.

I've put them on my vehicles for 30, years and this is the last one I'll do. I'm so disappointed and K&N has been unresponsive. The AFE looks like a much better option, but I just wasted $600 on the K&N. If I ever receive a refund on it, I'll post an update on the new one.

I totally understand! That’s a lot of money for sure! Hope you get your refund soon! I also had AFE on my F-150 in the past and, they are pretty good! I heard a lot about S&B brand also Not sure how reliable it is! They go for around $370.

I guess it depends on your type of off road driving. I never found them to be an advantage, for the money. When I head to dusty areas I take an extra filter and change half way through.
