Bronco Owners of Illinois

There is a Bronco event hosted by Joe Cotton Ford and 95.9 the River on September 18th. They start at Joe cotton and end the day at Rocky Glen Off road park in Rockford.
Could be a fun day and it looks like it's to raise money for local food pantries. Link below for anyone if they are interested. Never been to Rocky Glen but it looks like they only open the park to OHV during events so this is a good opportunity to take the broncos off road there. (Not my event but I will try to attend)

Another off road opportunity for us here in Illinois October 16th at the Nuclear Fall Crawl in Byron, IL.

The 4th annual NUCLEAR FALL CRAWL

This event is open to ALL short wheelbase vehicles(137.5in or less).

Gates will open on the 15th at 5pm till 9pm for camping and a night ride. PLEASE do NOT show up early and expect to get in unless you are camping. Please message Sean about camping.

The gates will then open again at 8am on the 16th.

Trails rides start at 9am and are guided only.

EASY trails are on the motocross tracks and wide trails in the woods. NO modifications are needed.

MEDIUM trails are in the woods that will slightly test your skills. NO modifications are needed. This is the most popular trail.

HARD trail is for experienced off roaders. It will test your skills. Minumum 33in tires are required.

There will be food for sale, but you are also welcome to bring your own.

Mud pits again this year.

Camping is free unless you want electric and water.

$50 per vehicle. Includes 2 people.
$10 each additional person.
15 years old and under are free.
Pay at the gate.
Cash only please.

1st annual Nuclear 4x4 Freeze.

Open to all short wheelbased(137.5in) 4x4 vehicles. NO FULL SIZE TRUCKS.

We will have trails that are guided, just like the Invasion and Crawl. The trails will probably not be the same, due to snow, but there will be something for everyone.

Gates open at 9:30am.
Trails start at 10:00am.

Hopefully we will have pre-registration available. We will let everyone know about that in the near future.

$50/vehicle.

On the show field. They are allowing clubs to have designated group parking. They will check back with me closer to the event to get a 'head count', but I'm not sure when. We are 5/12 weeks away as of today, but I'd imaging they will contact us within then next two weeks.

So is this a club or just an information site as no one has posted since July os 2023?

No posts, I suppose. There are a couple of clubs here in Illinois, but not much activity here.

Off roading in Illinois often means driving on the states poorly maintained highways. I am heading to the Ozarks in May for a 3 day overlanding adventure. It is limited to 6 Broncos, but If anyone else is interested you can find more information using the link below. (Last I heard there are two spots left)
