Already started the mods.....

made the RSE step/slider look a little more stock by reusing the stock step top plastic to cover top of the RSE.... Had to trim it down slightly but got it to fit. and then I got the KC light bar to work with the factory rack.... That took a bit of moding to work but it did.


Still working on the GRMS.... fabing an antenna mount.

Got my portals and streering rack on order from Quin.

so... Yes??? not technically a suspension lift but will provide 4 more inches of clearance without changing the suspension at all.... It also regears... so yes to keep something even close to stock gearing I will probably go with 38s because they stuff a little cleaner than 40s.... My drive line will think and feel like it is turning 32s.... a little more complicated than that but... that is the idea. with the 38s I should get about 5.5 to 6 inches more clearance on stock suspension.

Say hello to SASSY! I was a Jeep Wrangler owner. I had no idea the 2023 Bronco Heritage Limited even existed. I drove by my local dealer on the Saturday night before Labor Day and this beauty was in their “trolling” location - well, they got my attention!!! When they opened Tuesday morning, I made the deal. I traded in my beautiful teal blue 2 door Willys wrangler for this supermodel, Sassy. Took delivery Friday September 8! Apparently the person who had been waiting for her for 8 months wasn’t able to purchase her when she was delivered. I am soooo lucky to have gotten a 2 door! Hoping to bring her to an Off-Roadeo and learn how to take advantage of all she has to offer! I’m in love!!

History of Sassy? And HLE Question: Because my purchase of Sassy was such a whirlwind, I am now trying to understand how many of her there might be. I have been told that there were (or eventually will be made) 1966 HLE made as First Editions in 2023. I was then told half are Robin Egg Blue like Sassy and half are Yellowstone yellow. That would mean 983 Blue. Of those, I am told approximately 15% were scheduled to be 2-door. That would mean there are 147 (and a half lol) total - so she has 146 blue 2 door HLE siblings out there in the world. Is there any way to verify this? Is it true or close to true? Can I find out how many have been produced so far? Based on her Vin number - which ends in 101 - can I assume she is the 101st of the blue 2 doors off the line? Or is that wrong and there is some other way to tell? Can I go back and look at production notes or runs or whatever and learn her history? Help!?!? I’m new to all this but I want to know everything I can know about her!!! Also - are there “markers” of the 2023 Limited Edition where you can tell Just By Looking at a car from the outside that it’s a limited edition as opposed to heritage but NOT limited edition? I think for example Yellow color is ONLY available in HLE - but I think Robin Egg Blue can be Heritage (non LE) 2 door … just curious as I’m out and about and maybe start to see others someday!!

There will be 1966 2 doors and 1966 4 doors made between the 23 and 24 model years. I don't believe how many of each color was ever announced but I will say not many 2 door HLE or regular HE were produced so far in 23. The serial number is more of a sequence number and has nothing to do with color. Safe to say though those of us who got 2 doors Heritage models of either type this year were very fortunate. Oh and the black wheels are the quickest way to spot an HLE as regular HEs are white.

I don't think anyone is more anxious than me.... I appreciate the interest though. What was that Carley Simon song? Anticipation?.... I keep reminding myself... It will all happen just give it time. Just like waiting for a Bronco in the first place... At least I have projects to keep me busy in the mean time. Got my KC's mounted and custom fabed my antennae mount for the GMRS onto the inside of the light bar mount. Finally got the wiring for both routed down the inside of the A pillar... That was challenging to do that cleanly and hidden where it did not interfere with the drainage on the inside of the front window frame. Wiring is currently hanging behind the glovebox until next weekend.

Ugh, that stinks. I made a reservation in 2020 however I did not place an order until 9/9/23. I of course want the 2 door HE. I feel like its never gonna happen.

Has anyone been able to place an order for a 2 door HE? I ordered but did not get confirmation yet. At this point my expectations are very low.
