Wildtrak order / option questions

I know the Bronco 2024 B&P is not out yet, but I've been playing with the current (2023) B&P models and have a couple questions related to Wildtrak model options:
- Why is the delta for 2-door to 4-door so much less on Wildtrak than other trims? Badlands is around $1200 to move from 2-door to 4-door, but Wildtrak is only $500 approx - what gives?

- Can you option cloth seats to save $$? I have seen some YT reviews of Wildtraks with cloth seats, one even mentioned it kept the cost down, but don't see that option on B&P for Wildtrak.

- Similarly, can you remove the carpet for wash-out flooring?

Several months ago there was information put out by Ford regarding MGV seats and washout floors becoming standard. Canโ€™t remember if it was all models or not. And the price difference is probably related to WT lack of skid plates and stabilizer disconnect.

Hmm, I must have missed that... guess I won't know for sure until the official updates come out - should be soon.
But the pricing from 2 to 4-door is still mysterious to me. The sta-bar disconnect and skid plates would apply to both 2 and 4 doors, so I expect the price diff to be the actual cost of the additional doors, window switches, larger roof, etc. I'm a 2-door guy, but the Wiltrak 4-doors seem to get a comparative discount (albeit way overpriced still ๐Ÿ˜‰).

Originally the gap was proportional to the rest of the trims. But the 2-door Wildtrak has seen the most price increases out of any other configuration available for the Bronco. This likely points to the fact that the 2-door Wildtrak is not a popular configuration, and therefore Ford doesn't benefit from quantities of scale. So to make up for the lack of quantity, they simply charge more.

Currently, no. Ford removed cloth as an selectable option in March of this year to simplify production for the all-new 2024MY Ford Ranger, which is built at the same assembly plant as the Bronco.

Will cloth return for 2024MY?? We don't know. If I was betting money, cloth is gone for good. But we won't know for another 3-6 weeks, which is when the 2024MY order banks are expected to open.

- Similarly, can you remove the carpet for wash-out flooring?

No. You've never been able to order wash-out flooring on Wildtrak. Probably never will. But if cloth doesn't return for 2024MY there is a small chance vinyl seats with the wash-out interior becomes the new base-interior option on Wildtrak.

Thanks for the replies guys! FYI, the main reason I'm crunching this data is to consider selling my current ride and re-ordering a 2024 when the order banks open... That should probably be another thread, but not sure I want to start that thread, and I already have your guys attention, LOL.

The only reason I would sell is to move to the 2.7L auto with auto. I like the manual, and my wife is slowly coming around to it (she has experience with prior MTs). But my 20 year old daughters are avoiding it, even after a few lessons. Also, I'm looking at the FP tune with and then running premium fuel if I keep this long term, which would add up to enough money to make the 2.7 cost (untuned with regular fuel) look pretty good.

But of course, then starts the mental gymnastics of what to order, and unknown waiting period (but don't need the daily driver this winter at least). Currently, with the non-sas manual, I have the 4.7 rear end, so if I reorder 2.7 auto, non-sas, will I miss that rear end? If reordering the 2.7, is it more worth going SAS than it was with the manual? I have my Everglades wheels and a tailgate table still in boxes, not wanting to continue modding if thinking of selling, right? THEN, if adding SAS to a Badlands - really approaching the cost of Wildtrak - and I live in Cincy, so the tricky Sta-Bar will only come into play on occasional vacations or long weekends with trails. So comparable Wildtrak is "only" $2500 or so more than BL + Sas, and if you can delete the leather seat trim or carpet, that would be the same $$ essentially. So then it's HOSS 3 vs. the Sta-bar, right? I'm fine with the way my BL rides (all of 3K miles so far), but I can't find a wildtrak to drive to see if the delta is noticeable.

So, after typing this out, maybe my kids NOT driving the MT Bronco is the best deal of all! But if gonna try to sell it, time feels right. Coming off a year of no manuals available, and mine has been good post-TSB. Circular logic, right? Feedback welcome, but not required. It helps to vent while waiting to see what 2024 options bring. ๐Ÿ˜

If you have the shekels, go all out and have no regrets. And yes, i found that the more vehicles i have that my kids couldnt drive when they were 20 was a good thing. ๐ŸŽ

I barely had the shekels for it to make sense to order the Badlands! So any re-order decision would be predicated on selling my 2022 at the 2023 B&P pricing, but that buyer is probably out there since you could not order the manual this year. It's in my head, for sure.
