Hi everyone,

Back in October it seemed like every Bronco video was featuring the slide out tailgate that looks like the tailgate on the original Bronco. Anyway, I'm getting ready to put my order in and don't see in B&P as an option or accessory. Is this an aftermarket accessory or will it be offered from Ford next year?

Interesting, I just went on ford.com and “built“ my Bronco, and the sliding tailgate was offered, but not available if I chose the Sasquatch option.

As @TheShark stated above, it doesn’t seem to be an issue with Wildtrack so must have to do with weight and the fact that Sasquatch is standard on Wildtrak

I feel like storing them on-board will not be an issue, just won’t be able to store them on board the way ford intended. Laying them down instead of standing up will be possible if tie down or create some kind of custom holder so I didn’t let that stop me from ordering from factory along with the on board storage bags.
Oh yeah if you get creative I am sure you can get them in there. Maybe not all 4 doors. I can’t believe you have been waiting so long for your Bronco. I think My brother had one of the early Broncos with the slide out tailgate, he got his in early August.

I’m hoping that other online Ford dealership websites will start to offer the sliding tailgate soon! In particular, i would love to purchase it from Fairway Ford at a 15-20% discount! That way i could use my Ford Pass points (they are one of the few online parts departments that allow it) and walk away paying nothing! 🙏

It is now officially available through Ford accessories page, so dealer can get and install for you, but I think they do still restrict it to certain models (4 door) and trim and packages best on total weight of vehicle.

And yes, I would wait for the sale price since it will cost you more than double what I paid from factory on my original order to get it!

I just bought one from an individual that had it in his Black Diamond (non-SAS). Installed it on my SAS Badlands and fit and finish are great. No rattles, easy install. I like it more than I thought I would.
