2027 Bronco SUV: Specs, Features, and Everything You Need to Know

By Haley Skiko

Ford is rolling out the 2027 Bronco lineup, and it's one of the biggest shake-ups the SUV has seen in recent years.

A new available engine, expanded performance options, updated seating materials, a more refined cabin, and the arrival of two new series — Bronco® Filson™ and Bronco RTR® — are just a few of the ways the 2027 model year continues to evolve and elevate the Bronco brand.

Whether customers prioritize everyday refinement, trail capability, or high-speed desert performance, Bronco now offers even more ways to build a vehicle tailored to their adventure.

Here’s everything you need to know about some of the newest features of the 2027 Bronco.

3.0L EcoBoost® Power Expands Across the Bronco Lineup

For 2027, Bronco customers can now access the proven 3.0-liter EcoBoost V61 powertrain across more of the lineup.

Available on Bronco Outer Banks, Badlands and Heritage, and standard on Bronco Filson, the twin-turbocharged engine brings a new level of power and performance to the Bronco family2.

Producing 380 horsepower and 440 lb-ft. of torque, the 3.0-liter EcoBoost gives customers access to the same engine architecture that helped establish Bronco Raptor as the pinnacle of high-speed off-road performance.

Rugged by Nature, Refined by Design

As customer preferences continue to evolve, Bronco's seating lineup is evolving alongside them.

For 2027, Bronco Outer Banks models equipped with the Lux Package receive new premium vinyl seating in place of the previously standard leather seating. Bronco Badlands adds a uniquely designed, upgraded Marine Grade Vinyl (MGV) option across the series, including the first power-adjustable MGV seat offered on Badlands.

Designed to deliver the durability Bronco owners expect while elevating overall comfort and appearance, the new offerings build on the cleanability and practicality that have made MGV popular with adventure-minded customers.

More Comfort Where Customers Want It

Several new comfort-focused features also make their way into the Bronco lineup for 2027.

Among the most notable is the addition of an available heated steering wheel as part of Mid Package-equipped Big Bend models, bringing a feature previously reserved for higher series to a more accessible point in the lineup.

The change reflects a broader effort to deliver more everyday comfort and convenience features across the Bronco range without sacrificing the rugged capability that owners expect.

More Ways to Make It Your Bronco

Beyond new powertrains, updated seating materials and expanded comfort features, the 2027 Bronco lineup gives customers more opportunities to personalize their SUV.

New color offerings further expand those personalization opportunities. For 2027, Neptune Blue3 joins the Bronco color palette, bringing a fresh exterior choice to the lineup while replacing Velocity Blue.

Bronco Filson also adds its own series-specific color choices: Field Green and Iron Sands Metallic.

Whether tackling technical trails, exploring open desert terrain or simply enjoying the daily drive, the 2027 Bronco lineup offers more ways than ever to create a vehicle that is uniquely your own while remaining unmistakably Bronco.

I'll have more content up today/tomorrow for the order banks. Evan and I were at Michigan Assembly Plant last week, and so I've got more pictures of the changes I can upload soon. Ask any questions about the above, now, however, and I'll get to it as I bounce between tasks!

The power seats are offered with carpet on Badlands now; we'll see more with Build & Price for 2027. The seats are really comfortable. Softer than my 2021 MGV, in my perception? I like them a lot.
The Outer Banks seats look really good in person, too, in my opinion.

Im curious to see EPA numbers on the 3.0 Ecoboost for the standard Broncos spinning 35s instead of 7s.

And if it is available NON Sasquatch?

At 380 stock... im not sure its worth it to ME..... to upgrade from the most dependable Engine ford has built in recent years the 2.7. Im sure it'll be pushing the 62k+++ range when we get our hands on Build Sheets. My 2023 WT with 25k miles is still holding up just fine!!

So what does Filson get you?

As I anxiously await the order banks to open, this was my way of figuring out what's specifically included in the Filson trim level. It is compiled from the order guide (dated October 13, 2026, posted by Laura) and follows the inheritance chain for the Filson, which includes all Big Bend standard equipment, which includes all Base standard equipment (subject to the replacements noted below).

  • An item under Base is standard; an item under Big Bend is introduced there; an item under Filson becomes standard at Filson.
  • Strikethrough is for stuff replaced or removed by a later trim.
  • Some features are repeated in the order guide and shown as "retained" rather than new additions.
  • This is for a regular Filson, equipment group 974A, before any optional equipment

Base

Sources: guide, pp. 3–4; standard manual-transmission details on p. 5 and axle information on p. 42.

Mechanical and chassis

  • 4x4 with part-time selectable engagement → Filson / Sasquatch: advanced 4x4 with automatic on-demand engagement.

  • Standard manual configuration: 4.46 final-drive ratio with open front and rear differentials → Filson / Sasquatch: 4.7 final-drive ratio with locking front and rear differentials.
  • Front stabilizer bar. Retained; Filson does not add a disconnect.

  • Electric power-assisted steering.

  • Two front tow hooks and one rear tow hook → Filson: two front and two rear tow hooks.

Base entries specific to the two-door configuration

For completeness, these are part of the full Base standard-equipment, but only apply to the two-door Bronco. They are distinguished from equipment replaced by a trim-level upgrade:
  • Carbonized Gray molded-in-color hardtop; standard on two-door Base; optional on four-door Base.

Source: guide, p. 9; the four-door series listing and package qualification are on p. 10.

  • Connected Navigation qualification: Big Bend p. 9 lists Connected Navigation but explicitly says “Requires 222A.” Equipment group 222A is the optional Mid package, so navigation is not unconditional standard equipment on basic Big Bend 221A. It becomes standard on Filson through Filson’s included Mid package.

Big Bend’s 2.3L engine, manual transmission, 4.46/open-differential manual configuration and other unchanged Base equipment remain inherited until the Filson replacements.
