Hey y’all,

My fiancé ran over a median the other day and this is how my back tire is sitting now. My steering wheel is now also slanted to drive straight.

Took it to a tire shop and they said my frame was bent. Got a second opinion and they’re saying it’s just my suspension.

What do you guys think? Just want some opinions before I commit to fixing it and fix the wrong piece

No picture of back wheel…
Unless she was really moving I would struggle to believe a frame was bent… other stuff should break first… imo

I would think its just an alignment issue, which would cost like $150. but I would need more pictures of everything to get a little more insight. Im not a mechanic so I can only guess and make suggestions.

I’ll edit to attach the file. It should be the cover photo though.

And she pulled out of a gas station so I was finding it hard to believe my frame was bent as well

I know it’s not alignment because that’s what I thought as well and took it to the tire place to do and they said no matter how much they tried to align it, it wouldn’t adjust

My bad… it’s there!
If not alignment I’m not sure… sorry

There’s lots of people here alot smarter than me in these issues

Aren’t the Sports unibody? Did She drive all the way up and over the median or more of a curb shot? It hard to assess without more information or additional photos. Can you take a shot of the back of the vehicle from farther back, showing both tires. Also images of the front end damage and or rim and tire damage. Thanks

My son is a manager with the nation's largest Tire shop chain and though he says it's hard to say what's needed without seeing the vehicle or photos he says the shop you went to is 100% idiots. He also says what you describe is 100% alignment even if other things are messed up. Check both the inside and outside sidewalls for bubbling, in which case replace the tire immediately for everyone's safety. He advises going to a shop that does alignments, not a tire shop that also does alignments, most of those places hire anybody off the street without training and they just aren't good for alignment/suspension ect. Maybe suspension damage which would also get damaged long before any Framework would.

I would say both; curb shot and drove over. There's no tire or rim damage though. Only tire damage that's happening is from driving since my back tire is sitting on a slant. I'm basically having to buy new back tires every 4-6 months with heavy driving involved

Wow, I figured that there had to be front end damage. Did they check for a bent axle? And there was no tire or rim damage? That’s crazy!
