Insurance question

Hello,

I've been checking other threads and I cannot seem to find the answer I'm looking for, so here it goes:
I saw a number of people say that they checked their own insurance policies and they were covered, my question is what exactly should I be looking for in my policy to know if I'm covered?

Do I look for if I'm covered for rentals? or do I look for what coverage I have for out of country?
Or since I'm out of country does my insurance not come into play here?

I'm just not sure I want to call my insurance company and start asking about off-roading in a vehicle that is not my own and could get damaged, they might just tell me "No, your not covered"

Thanks,
Kim

You should be able to read all this in the insurance package they send you. Probably some boring night-time reading but it’s all there. From experience - I did not have rental coverage out of the country - Mexico, Canada, or Europe. I had coverage within something like 25 miles of the border, but I had to get third party car insurance for my trip to Tulum. You can always download the coverage PDF and then Ctrl-F key words you are looking for to see the language around it.

Thank-you. I'll look for "out of country" on the policy.
