I did the NVOR back on 3/11.

You'll have a great time, but here are a few things to keep in mind to hopefully enjoy it a bit more:
-Check the weather and pack accordingly. March was really cold, but it is going to be inferno hot for the next few months.
-Bring 2 spill proof hydration vessels, 1 for water and for coffee/tea. You can fill them up at basecamp.
-The provided meals are actually very good, but the breakfast is basic.
-The general store at basecamp has some really cool merch, so be prepared to spend.
-Although a good portion of the session is driving, you'll also spend a large portion standing on uneven terrain, so bring good shoes.
-Think of a callsign for yourself before you get there. They'll ask you on spot, and if you don't have one, you'll end up with a number.
-I had prior engagements immediately after and did not pad enough time to enjoy the post dinner activities, so keep the evening free if you can. I regret to this day having to leave during dinner.
-Even if you may be a seasoned trail rider, keep your eyes and ears open because there may be new info that you haven't learned. My favorite part was learning how to be a spotter.
-You'll be able to choose between a large selection of Broncos, so try to pick one that is closest to your build. I have a 21 2D FE, but I ended up in a 4D WT, so there features such as SBD that I couldn't use out there, and the 4D handled very differently.

That should cover the basics. I had a blast, and driving a demo Bronco at the expense of another gave you more guts to get a feel of the capabilities, and boy, the Bronco does no disappoint. Be prepared to have a lot of fun!

I was there at the end of April and it was cool and very windy.
They provide you with a Yeti water bottle. No need to bring your own unless you need two.
Never had a need for a call sign. No one else did either. It might depend on the crew you get.

I didn't use the provided bottle because it hadn't been cleaned yet, but that is an available option.
As for the callsign and, in fact, all of my recs, they're all optional, but just good to have ready, if needed.
Most important thing is to have fun and learn as much as you can about your Bronco.

Thanks for the advice! I am looking at the end of September, should be a little cooler by then. I've only been on one trail (gravel road to 9000 ft.) and that was last weekend here in Tahoe. I know any instruction I can get will be helpful. Since I will never do any serious off roading (I have an Outer Banks, non SAS) it will be fun to get a taste of a little rock climbing.

Does anyone know if you stay at the affiliated hotel (Red Rocks Hotel and Casino) if there is a shuttle or anything to take you out to the Off-Roadeo site?

Thanks. I know Moab had to convince Ford to include them.

I would reach out to the info email and ask them which sites have the Sports.

Probably correctly but inventory may also change so it’s best to get an updated if you are set on Nevada. That being said the skills you learn in the Bronco will apply to the Sport.

Sounds good. I did Moab in the Sport and was hoping to check out NV since I have another spot.

Didn't see any at the NV location.
If I'm not mistaken, the Off Rodeo was offered to big Bro owners only, so not sure why they would have the lil Bros at the event.

I had great time and learned a lot at the NV location last October! I was driving with the lead instructor so I was able to get some one on one discussions about the Bronco. If you want a little extra learning, either drive with the lead instructor or the tail gunner. It got a little chilly towards evening.
