You're going to have a great time and meet some great guides! Any questions before you head out?

Hi! Question: we're doing the Vegas Off-Rodeo at the end of April and I'm curious if all models are Sasquatch? Our OBX is non-sas and I'd like to learn what we can do with that, rather than what a model we don't have is capable of. The Off-Rodeo customer service couldn't tell us what models would be available, other than it's first-come first-served.

Thanks!

When I went through Off-Rodeo Nevada, almost all of the available Broncos where Sasquatch, but we did have a standard Badlands in our group. I don't remember seeing any non-Sasquatch OBXs or BDs there.

They will have all the Broncos the group is going to use prestaged when you pull up. My advice is to scope it out early and be ready to move quickly to claim what you want to drive as soon as they tell you to go pick. Thats what I did and drove the one Wildtrak they had out for us to choose. We were looking to figure out if a Wildtrak was the right trim for us (spoiler alert, it is).

Have a great time. Its super fun.

They have non-SAS Broncos at Off-Roadeos (only Badlands, though, not OBX); it's just a matter of some being available for your group.

You can just not use the lockers on the obstacles and you can feel when you need them or get a good gage of what obstacles you should avoid if you don't have them. you might try to get a Nosquatch Badlands (don't use the swaybar disco) it has 33" so it will be a little closer to the OBX tire size. You can add 33 or even 35 to an OBX pretty easy and have roughly the same clearances. I can tell you this when we were at BORT we tried to do as many of the obstacles without lockers, I was surprised how rarely we actually needed them. Only use your tools when you need them, then put them away when you are done.

BORT. First time I have seen this acronym. Made me do a spit take with my coffee. ๐Ÿ˜€
Reminds me of one of my Favorite Simpsons episodes. They should have the license plate in the Swag shop.

I love BORT so much ๐Ÿ˜‚ We were calling it BORN internally (Bronco Off-Roadeo Nation days), but once @Jakob1972 launched BORT I've been a convert.

Any idea of how many people might be there? Just curious on what to expect. I am totally new to off-roading so hope I don't make a fool of myself. I own a Badlands Sasquatch so I hope I can get one of those at the event to match what I have. If not, oh well.

Weather looks to be good in Las Vegas that day. 79 and sunny. I'm sure it will be different at the event site.

Great question -- you're usually in a group of a few up to 15. You don't need to come into the day knowing a single thing about off-roading OR even the Bronco off-road. They will give you a radio in your vehicle, and the guides call out how to get in the recommended mode or setup. The day gets more technical as you go, but you'll be ready for it when it comes. The guides will spot you through an obstacle, and no matter how much experience anyone has before, you're all seeing these trails for the first time together. It makes for a really fun time where the group can get pretty close-knit, and you're all rooting each other on and enjoying it.

There are a lot of Badlands with Sas, so you should be in great shape to get one. And yes, always a little cooler on the site, so pack a jacket or hoodie for when you're stopped at meals or standing up on one of the higher trails!

So, it was AWESOME! We had Allen as our guide. He was awesome. Very laid back and put everyone at ease. We had a total of 6 drivers on Sunday. It seemed to be the perfect size. They did mention there were 16 scheduled for Monday. I was blown away at how fun it was. They really put on a great experience and I would recommend it to everyone. The stuff we did with the Bronco blew me away. So much fun. We had a GREAT time.

Great report, @geddylee2112; I'm so glad to hear it was a good day. Every time I've been at an Off-Roadeo sitting in one of their Broncos, I think how much I can't wait to get back home and go out in my own. If you felt the same, hopefully you get to do some trails with yours soon! Tons of fun.

We went a few weeks ago. It was amazing. I believe most were badlands, I do remember seeing a black diamond also. Your OBX will be able to do the same and more. DannI and Diego were so great, patient and helpful. My wife and I are older, none of the rigs had a step, and they had a stepladder to help us out. The technique is more important, the truck will make it. Have fun.

We did Vegas Offroadeo at the end of March, Diego was our guide. Ford, if your reading this, I promised a plug for Deigo that you should give him a Bronco๐Ÿ˜. Anyway, we have a OBX non SAS, but it didnโ€™t matter. They will go over the differences of the Broncos because they have a mix batch of models, but they are all SAS. The focus will be on technology and driving techniques. YOU WILL HAVE A BLAST!

We went on a Sunday so the times are a bit different. The start time was 1:00. They want you there 15 minutes before. We were there about an hour before because I am stupid like that. We went on April 2nd. It was dark when we left. I think it was 8:00 or maybe 8:30. I can't remember the exact time but it was around that time. The last thing we did was had dinner so you can always skip dinner and leave earlier. I wouldn't because it was really fun to sit and chat with other people in your group and the food was really good.
