Where's the best place to stay in Moab? Camping, hotel, or something else, give your recommendations.

My buddy and I went all in and stayed at Red Cliffs Lodge. Beautiful spot with great food, right by the river. If your driving as we did from Northern California, your best route is not I 80 but HWY 50, the Loneliest Road. I've made the crossing many times in the last 60 years and it never changes and it never disappoints. Top side trip: Great Basin National Park., one of the darkest spots in North America. On a clear night it's so dark you can see the creamy part of the Millky Way!

Thanks for reminding me that I still need to visit the Great Basin National Park!

We stayed at Red Cliffs and it was great - depending on how much you want to spend, there are lots of options in "downtown" Moab..just depends on what you're looking for - the camping in Moab also looks like it could be awesome. May be too cold for dry camping along the river but the views...enjoy!!

We are going to Moab Bronco OffRoadeo Dec 8. Staying at Redcliff. Got our window sticker for Badlands 2 weeks ago. We are in SoCal. Probably won’t be here in the next 3 days. Long way from MAP.

Second Best: Best Western Canyonlands, right in the center of town, real convenient to restaurants. Been there many times. Always excellent service.

My guest and I are staying at the Red Cliffs Lodge for the Off-Roadeo, and then we're going to a place in downtown Moab for exploration & activities. We've booked the Bowen Motel. Looks like a standard motel but has all the basic amenities you might need, plus a pool and laundry facility on-site. Really good price too! It was the most affordable I could find, and with really good reviews :)

There have been over a dozen new hotels built in the last 6 years. Moab now has everything from primitive camping to high end hotels. Something for everyone. Pick your level of comfort.

We did Red Cliff cabins for two days and Arrches Inn for a day. Red Cliff was fantastic and Arrches Inn was surprisingly nice.
