My Moab Off Roadeo Experience

If you bought a new Bronco and haven't yet gone to the Off-Roadeo, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! This was the most fun I've had in a long time, and I learned so much! Even if you already have some off road experience, I think you'd still enjoy it. And especially if you're new, you have to go. My ladyfriend was a little bummed out that she couldn't (we felt it was a little expensive just to have her ride along at $500), but getting to do it solo was a real treat, as I got to be in the lead Bronco. Our guide Jason said there are times when there are 11-12 Broncos in a group, and we were lucky to only have four. It made for more personalized guidance from Jason. I'll definitely be back to Moab (it's only a 3 hour drive for me), and if I can scrounge up some money, I'd really like to hit the other three Off-Roadeos, as we were told each one offers something unique and a but different off road focus.

Got to meet a couple other cool Bronco folks while there, but can only remember Kim and Nate from Alaska, specifically (@LucytheBronco, if you're on Instagram).

Anyhow, it was tons of fun, and you really really need to go if you haven't already.

I paid for two, took my little brother along since we really don't get to see each other very often. Flew from Seatac to SLC, and took a rental down to Moab, so we had lots of time to catch up. Since I already have my Bronco, I told him he should get to drive during the event. It was very worth it! Chuck was our guide, and we learned a lot about choosing lines through obstacles, how to guide a driver while outside the vehicle, and most of all, we found out how capable these vehicles are. We even got to take in the eclipse from the high desert while were there, so that was a bonus. Moab was awesome, Chuck and the event were awesome, and the vehicles are awesome! Would love to make it a recurring annual holiday, everyone who has the opportunity to do this should take advantage of it.

I enjoyed the eclipse on a Bronco outing as well, but it seems like it would have been even cooler in Moab. Sounds like you planned things well!

The Moab Off-Roadeo is well worth it for anyone who wants to get a good feel for just how capable your Bronco is. The guides are top notch, and in my estimation, the location is the best out of all the offered Off-Roadeo spots.

This was fun to watch, thanks @Best Slope Bronco. Jason sounds like a superb guide and coach. I'm glad you had a great time. Re: your comment on the sta bar disconnect -- I know people like to do their trip once they have their Bronco, but back when nearly everyone was waiting for a VIN, doing Off-Roadeo then was a good way to see if you wanted to switch trims or add features. There's always aftermarket for those of us that didn't get to it beforehand!

I think, for the most part, I'll never *need* the sta bar disconnect for the wheeling I'll do. However, I'm very much a believer in the old saying "It's better to have it and not need it, than it is to need it and not have it."
