Asked this same question of B6g. My wife and I can't get our schedules to work, so I'm thinking about going solo. As anyone else gone solo to a off-roadeo and do you think it detracted from the experience.

It should be fine. In fact it might work out better for you as you will probably get your trail guide as your co-pilot. Some excellent instructio!

what he said.
It would be nice to have the trail guide riding along.
If you are going to Texas Amy and Corry are both great guides.

I went by myself and had the trail guide with me. It was great. May almost be better by yourself!

Went by myself to Texas back in October and had a great time. Drove two days there and back. Nice time to myself and got to see new parts of this beautiful country.

Finally someone that gets it. It's not about the destination, it's about the journey. We have the most beautiful country on earth.

You can definitely have a great time by yourself, but if you're not on a time crunch to use your token and she's at least mildly interested, waiting might be nice. It changes a lot of people's minds about off-roading in a good way, if she doesn't have experience yet.

I went on my own with my order back in September. Wife was on the fence about it. After she saw how much fun I had, she wished she would have gone. Then we bought one off the lot we went back and she was able to do it (I was just her guest!!!). She had a blast. What Laura said above, if there is any interest at all, find a good time for both of you. My wife was excited enough after doing Off-Roadeo, that we are going camping this weekend at the Bronco Off-Road Connect in Escondido Draw Recreation Area!

It may depend which location you go to, but I was just out in Moab this weekend for Off-Roadeo …it was EPIC. I don’t believe going solo will impact the day at all -there were two solo(without guest) in my group of 6. What I will mention is that, and not sure if it was just this weekend, but Moab is short on spotters. We had one instructor for our group of 6, and he rode with my daughter who was the youngest and probably least experienced(she killed it by the way 😉). So what I’m saying is only ONE person in our group had an instructor and communication was done mostly via 2-way radio. It didn’t have much of an impact on what we got out of it, in fact I think to some extent it was better for me without a “crutch.” My daughter has her Bronco already and I’m waiting for mine which is how we each got our own.

I went solo to New Hampshire. One instructor, a group of six, maybe eight. Worked out fine. No problems. These people do this all the time: they know what they're doing.

Go solo, you will still have a great time as you will be forced to meet everyone else, and interface with them all. If you are lucky, as others have alluded to, you will end up with the guide in your vehicle. The only downside will be putting up with your wife's possible complaining about you having all the fun!

As an off-roadeo guide, I will say that I purposely seek the single attendee to ride with. Jumping in and out of the front seat is a little easier and I can see a little better. Also, did I mention those A/C vents in the front seat? After a few climbs up and down the rocks walking alongside the Broncos in the 100 degree heat, I die in the back seat......😅

I went solo last week at Moab and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Being solo may afford the Instructor riding with you where you have a wonderful opportunity for quality 1 on 1 Q & A.
