You guys are comparing apples to oranges.....Since off-rodeo is charging $2k for two drivers that’s $1k per driver.
Yes it's $1000 per driver but not per day as you are now splitting time with someone else. So $1000 to drive half a day. So really the cost/value is $2000 per driver per day.

That's a terrible idea, when do we start?

Actually, you're making some assumptions. For example, you aren't JUST behind the wheel all day. There's more to the training than just behind the wheel time. But I agree, as I've mentioned before, I think that the 2K for 2 drivers is a poor way to price this. I think that they should just continue the pricing like they have it now where you pay for the driver (it's picked up by Ford right now) and then it's $595 for the first guest, and $495 each for the next two or whatever. As for the primary driver, I think that $1,000 would put them in line with other driving schools one day classes. Also, I would have an option where not only the owner could sign up, but a significant other could sign up so that they could both drive their own Bronco at $1K each. But again, I suspect that they have done some market analysis and hopefully didn't just pull this number out of the air and throw it against the wall to see what sticks. I guess we will see how successful they are with this pricing.

I applaud Ford for providing Bronco Off-Roadeo one time to owners - it's a fine gesture of goodwill. I think there is much useful instruction that can be provided about the Bronco, it's capabilities, and how to take advantage of those capabilities in fun and challenging terrain. However, it's a canned experience and the whole notion of having a Bronco is to avoid canned experiences, so I don't necessarily blame Ford for having a stiff price for people who want to do it a second time.

If they haven't done so, Ford should also consider opening Off-Roadeo to the general public at this price and offering a full or partial rebate if the participant purchases a Bronco after having attended the event.

Hmmm $2 grand? I bet you could offer one of the instructors $1000 to come to your area and do a private instruction and save the travel costs.

If I were to drop 1k to go wheeling I would prefer it to be someplace other than my regular stomping grounds. Also if there are other cool things to do in the area after the Roadeo is over then it would just turn into a vacation for me. The Las Vegas Roadeo would be cool and spending 2k for a full day of fun would be a drop in the bucket compared to turning the wife loose at the casinos , lol.

This price subsidizes the model they have right now of having multiple weekdays and multiple weekends available for people to choose from. That can mean sometimes they just have 4 Broncos on the trail, and other times then have every single one they have. I expect the price may come down if they do say a final run, where they pick 3 weekends and everyone has to book those 3 weekends. That would allow them to lower their costs and discount the event.
If I were going to go again, I just would pick a different location. A full day of fun in someone else's bronco with a qualified person leading you in places challenging for the vehicle and you is worth at least that much for many people.

Ironically if you brought your Bronco to Gunstock and turned onto their back trails, literally nobody would notice. Same is more true of most other ski areas around here in the summer with decent back roads.
