My biggest annoyance is the browser back button no longer takes a user back to the What’s New page once they’ve entered a thread. I’m on iOS 16. I reported this issue early on but I don’t see it listed above.
Here is an example when I enter from the home page:
Home > What’s New > Thread.
Click back from Thread and I’m taken to Home, instead of What’s New.
Example two:
Thread A > What’s New > Thread B.
Click back from Thread B and I return to Thread A, instead of What’s New.
Wait, how do you get to “What’s New”??

On the Forums homepage there used to be a list of the 5 newest posts with a “View More” button that would take me to a list of all threads that have been updated since my last visit. That was fantastic and I haven’t been able to find a equivalent—but sounds like there is a “What’s New” page I don’t know about.

We did updates this morning. This is resolved for me, how about you, TD?
Sorry, no. I cleared my cache and tried again, and it’s still not taking back to the What’s New index page in mobile Safari.

Would it help if I recorded my screen and sent you an example?

In mobile, click the hamburger menu in the upper right and then click What’s New. The page will load all the topics that have changed since your last visit. It doesn’t work 100% the way it used to though. But it’s pretty close.

I miss the “view more” on the home page as well. In this new one (at least on safari mobile) tap the three bars at the top right of the screen and select what’s new. That’s also where your alerts will show. However once you check one of the alerts they all clear.

At the very bottom of the Alerts window is a “Show all” button that will display a list of all your alerts.

I have another that I don't I'm not sure as been addressed.

When you reply to a post instead of quoting just the message you are replying to it adds in every reply quote.

So if I reply to a post and someone then replies to mine, it will include mine as well as the one I replied to. It's making for some very long strings.

The forum welcome banner still takes one whole page on mobile and still too large on normal browser. Do we really even need a welcome banner on the forum page? Aren’t we already welcome at the home page? Seems redundant.

One other thing I personally miss from the old site is the “jump to new” at the top of a thread. Just made it easier to get to the new stuff on a topic that’s got 120 pages without missing a post if pages have been added since the last time I checked it.

Obviously, you are not living on BN if you're missing pages... we need better attendance!!! 😂😆

Ah sweet!!! Thank you! Feel like I can finally browse this forum again. There is far too many categories and subcategories to click through all of them. Combine that issue with people posting in the wrong category and I just kind of gave up browsing.

And I also have the same issue with alerts. End up opening all my alerts in new tabs so I don’t miss all of them.

One more thing to add: the permalinks from the old site no longer link to the equivalent post on the new site. So posts I’ve made on other social media sites (namely Reddit & B6G) linking back to Bronco Nation posts are now all broken. The same goes for links I’ve added in BN posts that link to other posts.

Thank you, @Laura for updating the post list. It's a great way to see what bugs have been squashed. It may seem trivial, but the only REAL thing that bothers me is the number of page refreshes I'm getting. It refreshes whenever you react or comment on any post.

The bothersome part is that it refreshes and brings you to the top of the page. Can't we just "LIKE" or comment on something and move on? Very often, my "LIKES" are simply acknowledgments of what people are saying. That goes for any reaction chosen from the half-dozen choices. So my only beef is that reacting to things tends to take longer than necessary.

When folks want to post a photo and it shows up too small to see it can be modified when posted. After you upload a photo you can click on the ruler icon, pic1.
Modify the pixel size to what ever you want i chose 1200 in this example pic2.
On thing is that on previous forum when you went to upload a photo it would ask what size you wanted to use (Actual, S, M, L) which were each listed in decreasing size whereas now they are all listed as the same size Pic3.

The app was no longer supported, so we went with a mobile first site. I'm sorry you didn't see the announcement to save you some fiddling! We're working on keeping people logged in on mobile.
Ahhhh. Makes sense now lol. Thanks for clarifying. I did miss the announcement.

I relied heavily on the app, but I’ve already taken to the mobile version. It takes some getting used to, but it’s gotten easier, more pleasant to use than I originally thought. I’m on it now, in fact! 😎

Another very minor thing I noticed (since I got bored of looking at bugs for my actual job 😁 ).

Font of the text on the gear store is incorrect, probably a CSS error somewhere. It has some sort of serif font rather than the sans serif font used on the rest of the site.

I've been trying to purchase a digital membership, but the payment backend seems weird. Kinda like it's two platforms, and when I sign in it doesn't recognize my existing free registration. Also, the payment system kicks my payment out because the final amount changes, and then I get some message that it didn't go through. You may want to make it WAY easier to purchase a membership, and make it seamless.

Thanks for wanting to be a member! You don't need to sign in to purchase BEFORE becoming a member. If you do become one, then you will need to activate your Gear store account and sign in for member pricing, because yes, it IS on two platforms.
