Ok so we won't be renting you all hotel rooms, but we do want to see if you have a preference on how you want to stay at King of the Hammers.

Tents were a little cold last year, and we want to make Basecamp as accessible as possible. Would you like:

  • a tent anyway, 'cuz you run at Sasquatch temps
  • an RV trailer, because you don't want to SMELL like a Sasquatch. EDIT: changing to camper trailers. Warm and quiet, but you might be looking at wet wipes or KOH shower slots.
  • to bring your own overlanding setup

I want to do Bronco Knoll someday, but you guys can have the crowd at KOH. The older I get the more of an introvert I become.

The older I get, the more misanthropic I become.

My 2 cents on the matter.

Airbnb is the clear winner until properties get cheap enough to buy. There's a lot of homes close by that are very inexpensive to rent.

We've tried everything, hammertown is a dust bowl of partying and fireworks that don't stop. It was fun staying there the first few times, but im old now.

Then we tent camped. It rained that year, so the lady said never again. I am a regular camper, but I have trust issues around there when my friends set up was stolen leaving it in our spot fir a short run. It's a pain in the ass to load and unload all that stuff every day.

We tried a roof top tent. It was the better choice of tenting it out there, but its a little sketch with all the weight up top while flexing the truck (now bronco) all day.

Then we rented an rv, it was nice, but too much of a hassle to deal with after the long week or 2 of partying.

It's amazing to be able to take a shower and chill in a hot tub after offroading or watching the races all day. And you're usually far enough from the noise to pass out for a bit and do it all over again the next day. Call me a bi*ch, but damn it's nice.

The PCBronco crew will be there in full effect. Not sure my situation I may possibly do the tent thing for 1 night but more than likely will probably just attend for a day and drive back home 👌 Time to wrench on one of the Broncos!

I'd vote for some hard sided camping. Having camped there 2 of the last 3 years, it is loud, dusty, and cold.

When and where is it? I'm not much into camping, so I wonder if i could drive there for the day (I'm in Sacramento), spend the day watching and shooting it - then drive home after?
It's close to Palm Springs, CA.

Cool thing is, if you go you are not far from Bronco Knoll. What's cool is that BN has a marker medallion at the top of Bronco Knoll to pay tribute to the community and the brand.

What path did you take to get there? There is a path (my words) "on the back side" that is really aggressive and rough. Did you take that path?

Attended last year at Bronco Base Camp with my Sprinter Van and had a blast. Thank you Bronco Nation! Still waiting for my 2-door Badlands Sasquatch and hope to have it in tow for 2013. Son (also waiting for his 4-door Badlands Sasquatch) and granddaughter slept in their trucks camper shells and were cold. They hope to sleep in Base Camp tents in 2023.

Yes, it wasn't THAT bad ... on the way down, we took the "side" route, which was very steep.

I’m in for the camper trailers, but if all else fails tents like last years will work. I’ll probably only be their one night.

I fully enjoyed staying at Bronco Basecamp camping inside my Bronco in 2022 (thanks Bronco Nation!). The Bronco shut out some cold, wind and noise versus a tent which was great. The camper trailers sound amazing though if they do the same and offer more space than the back of the Bronco :) I still will plan to drive the Bronco in from Texas for some fun at KOH and Johnson Valley with everyone at Basecamp!

JV is near to us (see pic) so we'll probably just drive back home to our cozy beds at the end of the day.

We Might have a spare bed/bath available for 1-2 days as well if anyone wants it.

We might go for 1-2 days this year for my son's 9th Bday. If so we hope to see everyone!!

We had a wonderful time in 22’ at base camp. That being said, waking up in a tent to 20degrees was colder than expected. camper trailers would be a glorious addition to an already wonderful event. We cannot wait. Thank you bronco nation!
