Bronco Nation exists to make owning a Bronco easier and more enjoyable. Part of that mission includes bringing the community together in person and online. And to do that that better, we needed a new Bronco Nation website.

On Monday morning, you’ll be able to see what our team has been working on for many months: a new version of theBroncoNation.com.

While the look of the site will be slightly different, the features you like will be staying –– and we’re even adding some new ones. What you see next week will be the start of even more to come.

You’re going to experience:
  • A better Member Map, our members-only feature that shows you Bronco communities, trails, campsites, and more all over the country.
  • An easier Events page. We’ve simplified down the steps and added a regional search. You’ll spend less time finding events to attend and creating your own.
  • A much friendlier mobile visit. The majority of you use Bronco Nation on your phone, and we’ve set up the site to be easier to browse and navigate. One thing to note: The Bronco Nation app will be ending. App users, we’d like to welcome you to the site. We’ve kept you in mind since the beginning of this process and went with a mobile-first setup.
  • Better search function across the forums and news articles. We know it hasn’t been great. Now you’ll have an easier time finding information you need.
  • A member dashboard of all your benefits. You’re going to have an easier time finding your member number, seeing what’s available with your membership, and locating partner codes.
We’ll Help You Through the Changes

While plenty of the changes are behind-the-scenes performance or in appearance-only, there are going to be some differences, especially surrounding your individual habits and patterns on BN. These may take getting used to.

Ask us any questions. Give us feedback because we will be doing continued improvements. Tag us here in the forums –– @Laura, @MattR, @London, and @jparker. Your team at Bronco Nation is here to help. This includes our moderators @SlashRacer, @Deano Bronc, and @TK1215, who deserve a special callout and round of applause for helping us get this site shaped up. Mike, Dean, and Tim have dedicated hours upon hours on the new site and with us on the phone, and their work was vital to making this as seamless as an experience for you as possible. Another massive thanks goes to our support teammates of Chris and Nick; we couldn't have done the tech or stayed on track without them.

Things to Note
  • Forum pause: Right now, we are on track to launch the site on Monday morning. This means the forums will pause at 5 p.m. ET this Friday. You can search for answers and read all you want, but you won't be able to post new threads or reply. We'll be posting a top banner across the forums soon to remind you. All our social sites will be up and running, so if you need a question answered, ask us on Facebook or Instagram.
  • Login: When you come back to Bronco Nation on Monday, you will need to log in again. If you know your password or have it saved on your device, this should be simple. If you need to reset it, we've tested the reset button, and it works. If you have any trouble, contact us at [email protected].
  • Having issues? If you find bugs or are having any issues at all, drop them here or DM me or @MattR. I will be showing off where some of the new features and adjustments are early Monday morning in this thread.
  • Reminder: The Bronco Nation app will be ending. We're still finding out if that's going to be a hard stop or if it will just stop updating. I'll let you know once we know.
We love our community here and can’t wait to make it even easier for all of us to connect around the vehicle we’re passionate about!

I haven't read through the entire thread, so my apologies if this has been brought up and answered.
Would it be possible to list events by state & province or region? Thus, we wouldn't have to scroll through a long list looking for something I can make. Also, many of these are listed by local town, dealer, or some sort of association (e.g. "September 15 2022 'Old Overshoe Bronco Bugs.'") So I have to click on that to find it's 1,000 miles away. I'd rather have it listed by state.
Also, how about purging past events? You've got events from 2021 still up!
Keep working on those bugs. You'll get them!
You sure can sort! Just click the dropdown to check out ones in your area. Right now, they are by region, but if we get enough events on the calendar, we can consider by state. You can also look at the state you want an event in on the map, too, if that helps. I only am seeing future events unless I click the "View past events," but we are still going through a lot of upheaval with the server, so weird stuff can happen. I'll keep checking it to make sure they are only viewable when clicked.

Ok, good to know. I don't think we built that in as a feature, but I'll bring it up.

It takes 4-5 seconds for a forum page to render on the new site. It was near instantaneous previously. That is going to chase people away faster than anything. The other Bronco forum is still lightning fast and a pleasure to use, too. Not good, team!
I cannot figure out why anyone thought this was a good idea:

Good morning @Laura. Today i noticed that when you want to mention another member and you type the @ and start typing it doesn’t start populating user’s names. This is extremely helpful when you are not sure verbatim how they were spelled or punctuate.

So,
Many have stated the issues, I now see that the people I was ignoring are not ignored anymore
I have done many Web Implementations. It's what I do in real life
This deployment seems to be a little premature, and should probably be backed out. It shouldn't be this bad for this long!

I concur with Ray. IT professional at a major university for 22 years and there will always be some unexpected hiccups with a major upgrade. What helps with ironing out those hiccups is useful feedback. What doesn't help is snark and frantic complaining. At the end of the day, what you're complaining about is your temporary inability to talk about your truck for a few days. I don't think that's going to hurt anybody while they work on getting things ironed out.

Ever the optimist, I see complaining as a "good" thing. Hear me out. Members and guests alike have come to expect a lot from the Bronco Nation website. Information sharing and community involvement are its core values. Normally, it delivers that in spades. Users find their pages immensely gratifying. Disruptions of any kind delay instant gratification, which for some is unbearable. The matter at hand is the method in which the criticism is delivered. Constructive criticism with the intent to improve upon something is always welcome and should be encouraged. Snarky remarks may not seem useful, but they do draw attention to a problem needing solving. For some, snark is simply an entertaining way of expressing discouragement. They care. If they didn't, they wouldn't post at all. They'd simply leave. So, when you think about it, it's better to hear something than nothing at all. Naturally, I would prefer if they think twice before they post, to consider whether what they've got to say is constructive or not. A cheap laugh at someone's expense is simply cruel. In the end, you shouldn't complain for the sake of complaining; you should be willing to offer a solution or suggest something that could improve the situation.
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

Agreed with @BuckYeah ... I'm a director at a Fortune 50 company with 23 years in IT, and have also been through many, many major upgrades. Typically if we have issues and they cannot be resolved within the first 12 hours, we back them out. However, this site does not carry the same kind of urgency, and it's likely that BN cannot 'load test' this software in real time.

From my experience running community forums, most are usually platformed on 'boxed' and hosted solutions that you can then adapt to your deployment. My guess is that is what the original site was. Those solutions can be quite expensive. This new version is apparently either a custom solution, or perhaps it's a lesser product. Developing a custom forum platform is incredibly challenging and expensive. Keeping up with security issues can be a full time job. I'm sure the BN staff and mods have poured endless hours into the deployment, and their work is appreciated. Unfortunately, until you throw the full load at it, you just don't know how it will perform. And there are always things that other folks think about.

In the case of BN, I think any kind of feedback is good -- even if it's grouchy and negative. Because that's the temperature of your user base, which you want to keep. And if they are not happy, you have to consider why. As a leader, I would not want 'yes men' who just cheerlead me down a path to destruction and chaos. I want to be challenged, and yes, CONSTRUCTIVE feedback is always better. To me, this new site is incredibly, frustratingly slow and difficult to navigate as compared to the old site. That's not said to trash anyone's work or efforts -- some things just don't pan out the way we hoped. If we stuck with everything that didn't go as planned, we'd still have New Coke and Ford Edsels. I hope the BN staff can work through the issues in short order, because others are correct -- there are competing sites and if this one drags on too long with issues, it will sadly lose active members. But I'm willing to give them time to work it out... I have more constructive things I should be doing. ?

As a CEO for the #1 IT company in my house I agree with what you said.

These slow load times and interesting way of showing the comments on mobile website are frustrating. I agree they need time to work it out and get it right. The big difference with this forum and others is this forum many of us are PAYING members for, so they will definitely lose members if they keep the format the way members don't want it. With that said I have faith they will listen to what we all have to say and make the changes as they always do. They have been responsive over the years to our needs and I can't wait to see what they come up with once it's fixed.

We're still in the thick of this; we understand it's frustrating, but we're working around the clock to get it where we intend it to be. I appreciate everyone eager to get back on it and use it, but your experience is not going to be the same until we get our changes in.

Keep talking about it, but I want to update you all that this is not where we are ending.

As with some others that have chimed in, I just want to throw out some more positivity and try to encourage everyone who is currently unhappy with the new site to just be a little patient with the BN and development team. Having just recently overseen a complete relaunch of a company-wide BI platform and environment, I can assure you that these types of projects aren't "wrinkle free." You can tell the team is trying really hard to make this a better experience and is actively listening to everyone's feedback. It may take a little time but it will get there. There has already been quite a bit of improvement since go-live. It's exciting stuff. The site will be back better than ever before you know it.

Maybe everyone has given all the patience they have towards the Bronco (haha) ?

The App has been how I have contributed and posted to the Bronco Nation the last 2 years, I am also a member of Overland Bound - which is where the team enlisted Michael and folks to assist with.
I find the app's ease of use, and comfortableness a major contributor to the growth of the BN, plus the added features the team at Overland Bound are making with the app seem to be well worthwhile if used properly on the BN app, things like meet ups, routes, etc are all functional and enjoyable on the OverlandBound1 App, I have found plenty of places to explore using this and contributed some sites over to the Bronco Nation App.
Is this a given, that the Bronco Nation has ceased their partnership with the folks at Overland Bound and will not be using the OverlandBound1 App as the background for the Bronco Nation app?

That's a terrible idea, when do we start?

Just to through a little positivity to the comments. I really like the updated email updates that come out. With the old site, you just get a message saying that there was a new posting, and then a link. With the new site I get the actual content in the email. This is a big time saver for me! Here's an example of the new email format looks like:
