Could someone please give a how to for using forscan. I am planning to want to turn off horns etc when I get my delivery.

1. recommended device to use it.
2. Recommended cables needed to use it.
3. Recommended guide or instruction to get started without bricking the vehicle.
4. Recommended links etc.

I think allot of new owners would appreciate this.

I’m going through the process now. Give me a bit and I’ll post up some resources.

There are lots of resources online—unfortunately very few Bronco specific.

Once I get my Bronco in the next few days I plan on doing a video series about it that is Bronco-specific. Guess I'll post it on YouTube?? I don't think Bronco Nation has a way to host videos. Either way I'll make a post here on Bronco Nation once I get around to it.

Found this for some Bronco related mods. It is a download of a Excel spreadsheet and I have downloaded it without any issues.

They beat me to the resources! :)

I ordered the "FORScan ELM327 OBD2 USB Adapter for Windows, Diagnostic Coding Tool with MS-CAN/HS-CAN Switch for Ford Lincoln Mazda Mercury Series Vehicles" off Amazon.

I didn't need any additional cables--one end plugs into the vehicle, the other into a USB port on your computer.

The links @HRSPW provided look like valid information to me. I also watched a video or two, including this one:

I will say, it all seems very straight forward, but I want to know more about the source of the information. How are the codes being identified? Is there any info about the codes from the horse's mouth (Ford; pun not initially intended)?

Thank you, very informative. I have a question in regards to the DRL is that for the headlights? I also have a big bend and added LED tail lights, but they don't go on. do I have change the setting? if so, what does it need to be. I'll have to buy the ODB dongo
my headlights appear to work fine, my tailights don't go on when they are on - they do work as far as the brakes, turn signal, reverse and hazards

Did you install the new wiring harness?? The LED taillights have a completely different wiring harness than the halogens.

yes, I did. its weird, because I've seen the lights on when its dark, I thought it may have some type of sensor, but they didn't go on last night even after I turned them on. needless to say they're defective. I've seen the Mabett and DKMGHT as well as oracles and see that others have had a similar issue. hopefully I can fond some OEM take offs, though I love the smoked look.
