Hi everyone,
Well, if you are anything like me, you keeping going back and forth between Wildtrak and Badlands. Crazy!! I feel like I change my mind daily. I do not think it is a easy choice because the way ford set-up the trim options. For example, I know they say if you plan not to do rock climbing much and you want off-road speed go with WT or ...and BL for Climbing. IT IS NOT THAT EASY AND HERE IS AN EXAMPLE:

1. 33” A-T tires work better on the road, however I do not rock climb.
2. I do not like carpet or cloth but I like the SPORT MODE!!
3. I love Baja running, but I have to pull my Bronco with my RV.. Tires 33” better then 35” for pulling.
4. I do not need the extra armor around the car / disconnect, but I love the look and metal for after market stuff.

THIS IS WHY I KEEP GOING BACK AND FORTH.. CAN you guys relate??? If so Why.. FYI: Today at 3:43 p.m. I would order BL. Lol

I am in a similar boat. I reserved a Wildtrak and now feel a Badlands might be a better fit for me. I plan to keep my F150 when I take delivery of my Bronco. Maybe I will buy a Badlands, love it and trade in the F150 to buy a second Bronco. This time a Wildtrak. Problem solved!

There are certainly aspects of each that I like. I would like the modular hardtop. I don't want the Sasquatch package. I do like the BL interior, 33" tires, enhanced HOSS, steel bumpers, rock rails and bash plates. All of this with the high package.

I certainly lean toward the Badlands with a touch of WildTrak. Both good choices. Maybe B&P will help tip the scales with modifications we could potentially make?

Can you tell me more about 33" tires vs. 35" tires for dingy towing?

Sure. Towing with AT tires has much lower road resistance. More Gas and tire runs down faster if you have MUD-T tires like the 35”

So if you get the 35"s with Sasquatch package and ever wanted to go back to 33"s, wouldn't you have to get everything reconfigured? Will it be more difficult to drive on the road with 35" or just cost more in gas? I like the option of getting the 35" but I'm not sure I need them. lol In my mind I will go out on trails enough to justify them, but in reality I will be on the road more than off, unless I have to make a run for the mountains wtshtf lol Decisions, decisions...

I had been wondering the same thing, about possibly dropping to 33's instead of 35's and if it'd be an issue. Going by this link I found over on 6g, it looks like dropping down to 33's from 35's on the Sasquatch package won't be too much of an issue.

I would think that badlands will have better resale value then wildtrack? No way to know now, but just thinking more people want a Rubicon like then a Raptor like bronco.

I'm in the same position but I want everything from the Wildtrack and a high package for the 12 inch screen. I dont care about the bumpers and skid plates because I will be buying aftermarket versions of those.
As for the Badlands the 2 things that currently have me wanting to possibly go that route is the seats and the floors.
Right now I'm still thinking about the Wildtrak as my choice but build and price may change my choice back to Badlands.

Sasquatch tires are closer to an A/T than a mud tire. According to Goodyear the M/T stands for multi terrain and not the classic mud terrain

I waited until July 18th to reserve because of this dilemma. I finally decided I would rather go for the better suspension rather than some decals and sport mode. I’m pretty bummed the best HP you can get is ~310. Not sure sport mode is going to do much for that. If the coyote was a wild track option I wouldn’t have waited more than 30 second to reserve.

If I was in a position where I could afford one or the other I would take a Badlands no questions asked. To me it is the more capable vehicle or the two and allows for more flexibility and allows you to be more "Wild" with it without worry about destroying the interior. Just my two cents but If I was in your shoes I would take a badlands. I personally having been going back and forth between BB and BD but am probably going to go with the BD. It is closer to my price range and is close to the Badlands.

I reserved a Badlands and still leaning strongly that direction. No doubt, WildTrack checks a lot of boxes I am looking for, and in reality, Badlands checks slot of boxes I don’t need ( off-road newbie). The deciding factors for me are
- vinyl / rubber interior. With even mild off-road use, this is a necessity.
- short step up to Squatch and options ( if you benchmark the survey) to WildTrack inclusions
- Badlands will be the most capable off-roading trim, and I intend to grow my abilities to match the vehicle
All of nothing!

Me too!
Baja on! As Ford Spanked the competition in 1969, in the Baja 1000, NO OTHER AUTOMAKER HAS, replicated in 50 plus years

MOAB's starting to sell now. They are more WildTrak then Rubicon for Jeep. Lease residuals are looking to be the same as Rubicon's currently. Sorry to throw more confusion in. It's a hard decision. B&P will be the great equalizer. How much will it cost to get a Badlands with a 2.7L, Squatch, Shadow Black Hard Top, and mid package. It will be more than a WIldTrak, but how much more?

Hopefully, once build and price goes live and we can see what we can truly get on each model it will help finalize decisions. I am in for BL, but I am eyeing wildtrak. If they throw in rubber floor option in wildtrak I think I will go nuts deciding between the two.

You think we will be able to switch models when build and price is available or just cancel and re reserve?

Yes 310 hp is just awful. Needs a 1100 hp V-16. My ‘74 Bronco had a 302 with 125hp and would go anywhere I ever pointed it, but 310 is just not enough. What is this infatuation with hp???

I will have to admit the Bronco spoiled my plan to buy the Mustang Shelby GT500.
