Does the Outer Banks have anything over on the Wildtrak?

So I've been looking at specs for days and my head is spinning.

I really don't see anything the Outer Banks offers that the Wildtrak doesn't already have, plus two key packages (2.7L and Sasquatch). I am all about the Luxury, but both have the mid packages and are upgradeable to Lux.

Am I missing anything, besides maybe a little additional soundproofing in the Outer Banks? I'm just thinking that rather than add 3 packages to the Outer Banks, I can add one package to the Wildtrak (Lux) and get a better overall vehicle.

The Outer Banks has 18” machined face aluminum wheels, and the Wildtrak has 17” beadlock capable wheels. Other than that and the fact that OB is slightly Cheaper than WT, it doesn’t offer a whole lot else. If it were me, I would get the WT with the Lux Package, because that’s gonna be probably the Bronco that has the most Bells and Whistles, along with style, luxury and comfort.
I had the same debate. Originally reserved an Outer Banks, but when I had to move to a MY22, I went with the Wildtrack. Once you decide to add the SAS package to the OB, there isn't much difference. Wildtrack will give you the BAJA goat mode and heavier duty bash plates for the price difference. Mirrors are black vs body color and the interior is black/sandstone instead of gray/navy pier.

Outer banks has several key differences from other builds in my opinion. This may not be an extensive list but what I recall from memory.

1)Extra sound deadening material. 2)Body color matched fender flares, handles and mirrors. 3)18" wheels. 4)2, 2 tone interior options. 5)Carpeted flooring. 6)Tube steps. 7)Gloss black Painted grill.
Of course it can be upgraded with Lux, MOD bumper, SAS, switches, leather and so on.

I have been contemplating the OBX vs Wildtrak as well. I noticed the Wildtrak also comes with the Aux switch standard, has Baja mode, and better axles than the OBX. Unfortunately, you lose the tube rails and painted fenders and handles with the Wildtrak I do not really need Sasquatch, but more and more I really like the look of the larger tires and height. I can get all this done after market for a little less, but I like the idea of paying a little more and getting it straight from the factory.
And remember when you add larger wheels and tires aftermarket it will void your warranty

Originally I was going to order the OBX, but once you load it up with everything (lux,SAS,2.7, etc) it wasn't a great deal. Ultimately I decided on the wildtrak full loaded. The only thing I like better on the OBX is the roast interior. Good luck either way.

I think the Wildtrak also has the extra sound dampening material. I actually dislike the color-matched flares, handles, and mirrors, so that's a negative on the OBX for me. The tube steps are really nice. I think the Wildtrak also has the gloss black grille, and you get a sunglass holder instead of switches on the OBX.

I switched to an Outer Banks initially to improve my chances of getting a rig this year. I would have gone with the Wildtrak, but when I updated my order, the Wildtrak was only available with the MIC top. My Outer Banks was 'In Production' last Monday! If I was pushed to a 22, I would probably move up to a Wildtrak and order the tube steps as an option...
Somehow, I waded through all of emails about constraints and bad tops and missing chips and hopefully will come out with a 21 Bronco.

Outerbanks is the Sahara of Broncos, Badlands is the Rubicon and Wildtrak is THE RUBICON!

All can drive on the beach, just not everyone needs the armor and added weight for their mall crawlers xD

I ordered an Outer Banks almost solely because of the Roast Interior. We aim to dabble in off-roading, now that we'll have a suitable vehicle, but it will still primarily end up being the family vehicle, and what it looked like on the interior day to day for 100% of the driving experience outweighed the advantages of the Wildtrak as an off-roader for 10% of the driving experience. And it's certainly not as if the Outer Banks isn't capable at all off-road (how I've spec'd ours). Roast interior > Sandstone interior. Aside from that, I've spec'd mine up with mod bumper, steel bash plates, AUX switches and Lux package.

Now, if we really get the off-roading bug, we'll order another one, and go for the Wildtrak!

I have two on order for this exact reason. The right tool for the job.... FYI, my OBX has a build date of 11/15

Weird nuance: if you want the slide out tailgate, OBX can’t build that with SAS. WildTrak on the other hand has SAS and will let you add the tailgate.

I chose the Outer Banks because I'm not a fan of the sandstone interior on the Wildtrak

Since I don't need the 2.7, the OBX was the first trim you could order the Lux and Leather. Still ordered the Sas. My build is perfect for me. Other opinions may vary.

Finally picked ours up on Jan 8th. Really enjoying it so far, a lot different to the Camaro I had previously, but it's good fun. Glad we went with the version we did, OBX leveled up as close to Wildtrak status as you can.

Same here. Think the only factory items my OBX does not have is Sway Bar Disc, Baja Mode, some of the plating for undercarriage. Love the Roast interior.

When I was debating between the 2, it was the wash out interior the OBX had that made me consider it. Went with WT in the end.
