Anyone know or heard rumors if or when the 2.3l Ford Performance Tune will be released for the updated 2025 2.3l? I understand this motor differs from years past since it now has direct fuel port injection.

Yeah it’s basically an all-new engine so would require a new tune.

So far nothing, not even a rumor.

Personally I’m keeping an eye on Mustang parts. 2024 Mustang was the first vehicle with the new 2.3L EcoBoost. So logically once it comes out for the Mustang, the Bronco probably isn’t far behind.

But… not out yet for the Mustang either.

Guess we will all keep patiently waiting.....

I know the 3.5l got the dual injection system (If im correct) so will the 2.3l be getting this as well and a power bump and mpg? I feel ecoboost generally delivers on hp and torque but not always mpg and reliability is an issue in some areas that can be addressed across lineup

The new 2.3L EcoBoost was launched last year on the 2024 Mustang and this year on the 2025 Ranger, Bronco, and Explorer. It now shares a similar architecture to the new 1.5L EcoBoost and new 2.0L EcoBoost... which started to be phased in with the 2023 Escape, and now is the standard engine options on the Bronco Sport and Maverick as well.

And yes, the new 2.3L does have dual injection.

No power bump or meaningful increase in MPG from what we can see. My complete guess is it was more about simplifying the lineup and preparing for future powertrains options... such as hybrids and whatnot. But Ford really hasn't said much about the new 2.3L, so I could be extremely wrong.

FYI to everyone. I pre ordered the 2025 2.3L tuner from Ford Performance yesterday from Steeda. I had called FP a month ago and they said withing 2 months so he was correct. They say its shipping March 2nd. Same HP and torque numbers from the Ranger I believe. 335ish HP and 415 lbs of torque. Can't wait! My Bronco with 37's isn't very quick, even with the manual..
