My Hoss is Velocity Blue Metallic and want to get my Bead Lock Rings painted to match (currently Silver) I guess I could buy the paint (touch-up?) from Ford and paint them myself unless there's a service that either paints them for you or sells Bead Lock Rings in color. I checked IAG Off Road, they seem to only sell orange Bead Lock Rings

There are a couple options out there for this.

There is a ring exchange program
https://thelabna.com/products/ford-...3vt9LphHJmKTy_kKykZ68ngi1MVzZFFj4H_vY2El4bLJj

You can wrap them
https://www.undergroundgraphics.com...l-decals-set-of-6?_pos=2&_sid=7b088663b&_ss=r

Stinky Fab has the plastic bits that replace them
https://www.stinkyfab.com/collections/bronco-parts/products/scratchuatch?variant=45918359355628

You can take them to be powdercoated and get the best match you can find.

Or you can use touchup in a spray can and paint them

If you are off road a lot, your trim rings are going to get scratched up. Mine are black and they look like they have been in a war. If you are in the same boat, painting them at home with something that is available and easy to touch up is a good idea. I need to pull mine and paint them this spring, so I can scratch them up again this summer.

Hmm if there are only 12 bolts they are just for looks if there are 50 bolts or more then those are true bead locks. But running true bead locks is a commitment you have to torque the bolts all the time and no tire shop will mess with them, unless they are a special off road shop. But $995 seems like the price for bead locks ๐Ÿค”

the real ones are 24 bolt's and have a lip on the inside that grips the tires bead. Also the tires bead goes between the ring and the rim pinching the rubber. If you have 12 bolts, then sorry just for show. If you take them off you will see that the tires bead is under the rim and is NOT being pinched by the ring.

Ford sells the Beadlock wheels for $725 each *yikes* I can't believe that there's $3.6K in wheels on my Bad-Sas.

But I have done some reading, and you're more correct than wrong. The factory beadlocks are not "true" beadlocks, and really don't improve anything when running low tire temps

I'm buying a can of matching spray paint, so now my beadlocks are $995 (955 + 40)

But they will be how you want them. The price of looking good I guess.

That's a terrible idea, when do we start?

OK, seems like there a lot of confusion, let me see if I can shed a little light here.
  1. If you have the Sasquatch package then you have the beadlock capable wheels.
  2. Unless you order the beadlocks, however, what you will get are "beauty rings" that look like beadlocks, but aren't. Those have 12 bolts holding them to the wheel.
  3. However, if you DO order the beadlocks, they will show up as a seperate item on your window sticker, and have 24 bolts holding them to the wheel.

Note that Ford Performance sells them for about $1,100, so $995 when you order your Bronco isn't beyond the realm of reason. You can find them here.

Finally, if you look at ford Performance's site, they do say "Beadlock configuration is for off-road use only" That's because they are not DOT approved for use on the highway, but I have yet to ever see anyone get "busted" for running them on the road.

For my Bead lock Rings, (maybe a better name would be beauty rings, lol) I ordered:

Ford Alto Blue Metallic Tinted Clearcoat LB Touch Up Paint
Product aerosol $40

To paint "BRONCO" on the front, currently white, I bought this

Ford Alto Blue Metallic Tinted Clearcoat LB Touch Up Paint
Product Brush Kit essential $36

Total with tax $83
