  1. Tens of thousands of reservation holders from July 2020 still haven’t gotten their Broncos. Now it looks like Ford is going to slow-roll remaining builds before they convert to building Raptors, Everglades and enhanced Wildtraks this summer. My initial order was submitted on 1/21/2021 and I sat through the entire 2021 MY without getting a build week. I converted my order to a 2022 in the middle of Oct of 2021 (though it appeared my dealer didn’t submit it till the first week of November). Now I’m wondering if I’ll even get a 2022 Bronco. The new Bronco appears to be an outstanding design but Ford’s ability to build and deliver them has been very poor, even given the pandemic and microchip shortages. It looks to me like they’ll be carrying a backlog right into the middle of the 2020s and maybe beyond. What a shame! I think the Bronco could have surpassed the Wrangler in sales but Ford’s dismal performance in delivering them may result in the Wrangler still sitting atop the off-road mountain.
