Winch Mount Options for The Heavy Duty Modular Bumper (at least the 2021 Black Diamond)?

Anyone have any luck with winch mount options for the "Heavy Duty Modular" bumper? The Ford Performance Warn kit specifically says it does not work with the BASE, Black Diamond, and First Edition trims (and my dealer tells me it's because it is incompatible with the heavy duty modular bumper that comes with my 2021 Black Diamond). At various points in time, this bumper was the standard option on Black Diamond, Badlands, and the First Edition, but that seems to have changed (maybe?). My dealer would not allow me to upgrade to the "Capable Bumper" that supposedly does work with the astronomically priced Ford-Warn kit (he said the parts are already selected since my build date was the following week). There is conflicting information on the Ford website where it says this bumper does work and irritatingly has a photo of what I want.

Warn makes a bumper that just reads 2021 Ford Bronco (and nothing about trims). The guy on the phone at Warn told me it definitely works because otherwise they would have had complaints and the guy from Warn who emailed me back said no promises because...well, customer service always seems committed to uselessness I guess. Neither response instilled much confidence. There are a slew of other shops out there with various vague fitment claims like Northridge and DV8.

Has anyone mounted one and want to share photos? Was it really bolt-on? I don't want to make any cuts, and I have no idea where the flares and steel bash plate start or how they might encroach upon a bumper.

I’ve done a lot of research over the last month since I got my 4 door Badlands with Sq. I have not found any commercial options for mounting a winch to the modular bumper other than the factory option. I don’t like the factory option given the cost, how much it sticks out and that it blocks the front camera. Rough Country has a hidden mount but it’s for the standard bumper, not the modular. I found one guy who modified it but you said you don’t want to do that.

I went with the BAMF winch bumper. https://www.bayareametalfab.com/2021-FORD-Bronco-Front-Winch-Bumper_p_169.html?delhist=[catalog_id]

Bodyguard makes another option. https://www.bodyguardbumpers.com/bronco-front-bumper but that one is pricey.

As you said, Warn and DV8 make them also but I’m not a fan of how they look or how much they extend over the front wheels (the Warn). I did find a couple others as well but they didn’t support relating the Advanced cruise control or parking sensors. Those were requirements for me. The only issue with the BAMF is that it’s not shipping for another few months but given I live in CO, I won’t be doing much wheeling over the winter so it wasn’t a big deal for me. Annoying but acceptable!

The factory option isn’t even compatible w/ the HD Modular bumper (just the Capable). You can order the capable a la carte for ~$900 from Ford, but my Bronco won’t have any wiring installed (b/c the HD Modular does not have fog lights) and that is a lot of cost and hassle.

Both of those look pretty slick, but it’s hard to tell how far they stick out. Hoping to see some photos of your rig once it’s all set up!

Are you sure about that? I think you have that turned around. There is someone on the forums now that is mounting the factory option on the Modular Bumper. I'll try to find the link.

It shouldn't matter which trim the modular bumper is on, it should be the same. Not sure what the difference would be.

Thank you VERY much for the link. I am going to wait to see the finished work.

Am I sure? Nope…I wish I knew how to be sure. I am just going off of what my dealer is telling me and what the various Ford accessory website say.

Spoke w/ Ford Performance reps today. It appears the problem is not the bumper but the headlamps, if you can believe that.

Can you just buy the winch platform and brush bar? I already have a winch so the whole kit doesn't make sense.

Not according to the Ford Performance website.

Did you install BAMF bumper and winch? I have high package, and curious about sensor and camera relocation and camera view! Possible to send a photo of your screen with camera on?
Where did you relocate control and solenoid?

sorry , I get excited and ask questions!!!!

That one looks better than the Warn setup from Ford. Still have the camera problem though. Oh well, nothing's perfect.

Jcr off road (https://www.jcroffroad.com/product/BR6SB-WP.html) has a winch plate for $700 that mounts to the modular bumper. I like the look of the warm mount better but I’m not interested in it for $3500

I don’t like the way the factory winch mount looks at all. I think it looks like a suitcase hung off the grill. I think the jcr is an improvement on the same design but not for $700. I like the modular bumper and want to keep it, but I think it’s set too far under the grill. That been said i think i will build a mount that spaces the bumper forward. And bring the mount from behind I’ll take pics. thoughts?
