Hello Everyone,

Just posted another update on the Toyo Open Country R/T Trail tires. This update is on the topic of how they do in the snow and ice. Hopefully this helps anyone who's thinking about picking up a set. Enjoy!

Like everything else in life folks have preferences. I like the K02's that came on the truck. They have worked well off road and good in the snow this winter.

Agreed, great tire. Wish all Broncos just came with KO2's.

Good vid... I agree with you. I have the RTs on my truck, 35x12.5.... They are not the best at any one thing but good at most everything. They are decent in snow and Ice... Not great, Not great at deep snow or mud but pretty good when it is only a few inches deep. I have had better snow/road tires but those were not as good off road. These are holding up quite well. Fairly quiet on road, but again that is coming from the Toyo MT.... everything is relative. I have about 20,000 on mine as well.

I spend more time off road in the Bronco and so I went in more of a MT direction and they are working out very well... But the MTs will not go back on my truck.

I’ve used the KO2s for years on many different vehicles. I would like to try others, but they have never let me down. The Bronco is so good with handling, no road noise and great on the trails. I’m a BFG fanboy. 😀

At 15 pounds heavier at each corner than the stock Goodyears they are going to be a real performance zapper.

I agree that 15 lbs per corner is huge when you are driving a race car.... but these things, most people are not going to really feel the difference. I am close to 200 lbs per corner with unsprung weight. Do I feel the difference? absolutely. But is is a real performance zapper... not really. BUT I am not measuring performance relative to a race car... Which I have had and then... yes the 15 lbs made a difference.
