Just wondering if anyone has mounted the stock KO2s from a non-SAS Badlands on different wheels? I'm kicking around options. I really like the KO2 as it is a very good and proven AT option. Maybe a little less offset than the +55, but I don't want too much poke.

Yeah! I'm really looking at this as an option. Hadn't thought about it until recently. I was initially looking to buy some WT or SAS takeoffs, but I really like the KO2's. Planning on doing the leveling kit too, but spending the money on tires in addition to new wheels (when I prefer the KO2s) seems overboard.

Not that I don't like the look of the stock Badlands wheels, they are okay, but I'd like something a little more unique. I think white would look pretty sharp, haven't really seen that yet.

Do what makes you happy, the Sas wheels are +30 and with non sas flares... should look good!!

A friendly reminder... every thing you do will make.you want to do more... Every action has an equal and opposite reaction... ie... level= parts and labor.. then 35 inch tires ... and on and on, and on....πŸ€£πŸ˜‚... it's just money... right?

RIGHT!!!!

Gotta start somewhere. Looking for a little something that stands out just a smidge, nothing aggressive. I know how it goes, in the end every dollar spent turns into 10 in the long run right?

Thanks! I just think the 33s look alot nicer than the stock 35s! I wish that the stock wheels would have had the same offset as the SAS wheels, they just don't look as good tucked in IMO. You can barely notice any poke on your set up. I've been lurking on marketplace and craigslist. I've only only come across full sets with tires. I haven't inquired about just purchasing the wheels, and I doubt the seller would feel like splitting them as they seem to sell pretty quick when I find them.

White wheels the fifteen52 analogs seem to be a popular retro choice. I really like the Warn Jackhammers https://www.warn.com/six-lug-epic-wheels-jackhammer-gray-104490
They look like more aggressive Everglades wheels.

I used my KO2s with stock wheels and upgraded my wheel to the everglades wheel and had no issues making the transfer.

I swapped out wheels and kept the tires on my Badlands. I don’t need headlocks and I hated the look of the dark factory wheels. I wanted something classic.

I put KO2's with Badlands rims (from Ford Performance) on my OBX and get lots of positive comments plus, I love 'em!

There is no problem using those KO2s on different wheels as long as you adhere to a few rules:
  1. Keep the wheel width between 7.5" and 9", with and 8" wheel being the best choice.
  2. Pay attention to the offset of the wheel in conjunction with #1.
Note that if you are changing from a more street-oriented tire as found on Base, Big Bend or Outer Banks, expect your fuel economy to decrease. The KO2 is heavier and will raise your ride height by some amount, depending on what your original wheel/tire combo is.
