Colored Lug nuts - looking for options

As a component of our Bronco build, my wife and I are looking for colored lug nuts to replace the standard silver. I ordered a set from Amazon but promptly returned them because they look too "flimsy" to be trusted in an off-road condition. In an effort to reduce the trial and error that comes from ordering the wrong thing, I am looking to experience here:

1. Is it possible to simply color the existing lug nuts (i.e. powder coating)? Don't wanna paint because that's just gonna scratch off during tire changes / rotations.
2. Are there lug nuts available, that are substantial enough to run on the Bronco, that come in colors? (not interested in bullets nor spikes :-) already saw those).

Thanks... I'll take a look. My issue with the previous set I ordered was the beveled seat. It was tiny compared to OEM, leaving me to question the security of the seat and holding strength.

Not to resurect this thread from the dead, and since you are the resident "Mishimoto guy" around these parts, do you have a set of these on your Bronco? I am getting ready to replace mine and trying to decide what to do. If you, do you like them? Im not real big on locking lug nuts (I had a very bad experience in the middle of nowhere with one), but curious what you thought about the set? For the record, I would do the bright set on my Black Wildtrak wheels- Basically a full swap out, but ditching the two-piece Ford Swell-a-ramas

Thanks. I'm going to swap them out when I rotate the tires. . I don't want to cheap out on these (they are kind of important), but I don't need super high-tolerance hand machined titanium racing lugs on an off-roader and commuter. I guess the search continues

If it were me, I would go Black with bronze, but I really like contrast. (y)
