-18 Offset Wheels on Stock 4Dr OBX and stock tires?

Hi All! Have a question that I think might be stupid, but I really need to get a 2nd/3rd/4th opinion on.

Specs: '23 OBX 4Dr Hardtop, Velocity Blue, 100% Stock

I've been shopping around for wheel upgrades that would allow me to keep my stock tires and give my OBX a unique look. I landed on these wheels from Black Rhino (18" Bronze), called the Raid:

https://www.extremeterrain.com/blac...wheel-18x95-18mm-offset-1895rad-86140z12.html.

I did some digging into the stock offset of the OBX 18" wheels, and Ford has it as a +55. The local shop guy (that was recommended to me by several neighborhood friends) is adamant that the -18 offset on the black rhino wheels will look great with the OBX fender and stock tires. From my digging, it seems like a +18 would be a more reasonable offset, but they really didn't think that was the way to go. Am I totally wrong here? Would -18mm offset even be functional on my bronco?

Thanks a ton in advance!

https://tiresize.com/wheel-offset-calculator/

This calculator allows you to enter current tire/wheel set up and then enter the new wheel/tire set up. It will tell you the measurements of how it changes on the vehicle.

I will say I have a Wildtrak and just went with Black Rhino Warlords +12 offset and mine poke out just a tad past my SAS flares.

That's good context, and I appreciate the calculator link! I probably have 1-1.5" of overhang on the stock OBX flares with the factory wheels, so I would likely end up 1.5-2" beyond the flare. Now I just need to decide if that's what I want...

OBX, went with a 17 inch wheel and a 285/75/17 tire. 33 inches. removed the crash bars to prevent rubbing at full turn. I have about 1 inch poke with a -19 offset.

Looks great! It's amazing how much the look of an OBX can change with a simple wheel/tire upgrade. What's the width on those wheels? Do you have a picture from the front showing the poke?

Tire spec says it is 7.5 to 9.5, it leans more to the 9.5. Because of the neg offset it stick's out about 1 to 1.5 inches. Will get a picture of poke tomorrow. I know some don't like any tire poke, but I kinda like the aggressive stance. 90% a daily driver.

Man this looks amazing! Gives me a lot more confidence in the direction I'm going.

Did the more aggressive tire size and tread change the ride/noise substantially from the OEM A/T tires?

Honestly, no. The Kenda Klever R/T is a hybrid MT/AT tire and it is surprisingly well behaved on the road. Not much difference between stock and them. With the radio on, didn't notice them at all.

This looks great! I have an OBX with stock wheels and tires and also looking to upgrade. Does removing the crash bars take away anything from the warranty?

They are removed by ford on certain models, so I think the answer is no...
